Rebel fleet with Ackbar

Recommended Posts

I'd like some feedback on this. 5 activations, with small fighter group. The Neb B sits at the front with the transporter, supported by Jan and X Wings. The CR90 goes and hides in the obstacles. The  2 MC30's flank and plunge into the enemy with their black dice! My lone A wing goes off and does its own thing! Well, that's the plan anyway. The objectives, I'm sure would best suit second player, so maybe I would be selected for first????

First of all, Neb-bs aren't geared toward Ackbar lists. They have one shield on the sides, and then their side armament with ackbar is only one blue dice more than their front arc. The Yavaris also has no point in the fleet, as there are no squadrons that can utilize its ability correctly. Aces are good with yavaris.

Ackbar also tends to lean toward CR90As, but CR90Bs can work just as well.

The MC30s are fine, though scout frigates instead of torpedo frigates help a lot. I use a Scout frigate with TRCs and APTs, and that thing kicks out a crap-ton of damage, 8-11 damage consistently.

The fighter screen can hold off fighters, but I like to use this:

Tycho, Shara, Han=51 points.

Hope I helped.

You've got the right ships, but the wrong variants. The CR90 should be an A with TRC, the MC30Cs should be scouts, also with TRC. The Nebulon is a no no with Ackbar. Best replaced with another CR90. Fighters look good.

Thanks for the input guys. The Neb B is there for the simple reason being that I have no more ships lol! Well, maybe another Neb B! Getting a second CR90 is in the plans for the future though. The point of Jan and the 2 X Wings is to stick around with the Yavaris Neb to sort out the enemy fighter/bomber screen for a turn or three. I got Ackbar and Mon Mothma cards off someone who had spares, so I don't own Home One and only have the Core CR90.

What do you think of my objectives? I was trying to not out bid, and to make the choice hard for my opponent to pick me as second player.

Well, can't help with objectives, but I will say, put Ackbar on your CR90. The Yavaris likes to get close to the action as a result of its ability, so it's likely to be one of the first targets. If it goes down early, the rest of your fleet will have hard time performing without Ackbar. If He's on you CR90, you can simply zip around the map, as the CR90 is there for fire power and doesn't need to stay close to the rest of your ships.

Mothma would actually be perfect for this list
