Dr alex 591 Posted September 10, 2017 (edited) I got second at a store champs with this delight: ISDII - Motti, avenger, hondo, boarding troopers, ECM, leading shots interdictor suppression refit: interdictor, disposable capacitors, G-7 grav well, targeting scrambler interdictor suppression refit: fighter coordination team, disposable capacitors, G-7 grav well, grav shirt re-route two Lambda shuttles objectives: advanced gunnery, sensor net, fire lanes points 398/400 Having played it I would move Motti to one of the interdictors as when avenger is your punch, it tends to risk going down and drop boarding teams probably for vet gunners as it didn't really do anything that shooting a target with disposable capacitors from the interdictors didn't do just as well, and then look at a replacement for leading shots like quad battery turrets. Syringe 1 Posted September 19, 2017 I did a list last week for a tournament that did really well in the Avenger 2.0 meta (second place, ten players). I ran an Avenger 2.0 myself, but also an Interdictor closely behind it with G-8 to prevent the enemy from leaving, capacitors to to blow them to ****, Projection Experts to support my Avenger and Targeting Scramblers to reroll the four worst (for me) dice after a Boarding Troopers/Avenger attack. Worked like a charm. It's even OK to let the opponent go first. I wanted to work on my obstacle placement/deployment skills, so I thought an Interdictor with maximum placement shenanigans would be interesting. So what else am I actually trying to do with this list? First, with low activation count I need every activation to be potent. Squad commands with Sloane can definitely do that, and both ships can contribute there. The ISD is made to alpha strike enemy squads with Flight Controllers. Following up with typical ISD firepower means I can get a lot of its activation. The Interdictor is slow, so its two squadron activations are probably going to make use of the shuttle's Relay 2. Shuffling Mauler around with Admiral Chiraneau is a good way to finish off weakened squads. The threat of that tends to force opponents to focus on Mauler, which means Vader gets to live longer. Nav Teams on the Interdictor allows it a lot of flexibility on its final facing, so double arcing at long and medium range is quite possible. With Disposable Capacitors and SW-7s, the damage coming out is pretty consistent. I originally thought about a strong bid to go first. Mulling it over, I decided to go with very modest bid. Who do I really want to outbid, after all? Do I really NEED to go first? I think my objective suite is pretty strong, especially with a strong squadron group with strategic AND the ability to really screw with deployment. I think Advanced Gunnery is probably my weakest objective, and that's saying something, considering I have a pretty powerful ISD-2. So, those that build close to 400 are giving me the choice (and I could play either one!), those that have a very strong bid for first are going to have to play my nasty objectives, and that that have a very strong bid for second (they DO exist!) are going against my almost 400 point list with me almost certainly going to alpha their squadron group. Anyway, I've played this list once and it is fun. I don't think it is competitive, but it is something to learn from. Food for thought, though, and it can sort of work. Lol, thought I beat you by bringing you lead Glad to speed zero and blocking your conga line but maybe that was another game! My objectives were Most Wanted, Contested Outpost and Solar Corona. I decided it was too tangy and needed more firepower so for the list I took to the UK Nationals I dropped Motti, put in Vader, dropped the squads and Gozanti and added a Raider. The goal is to have the Quitten with Hand of Justice fly around Dictor and Vic 2 to ready their defense tokens and the other kitten to roam around and shoot stuff. I applied most of the suggestions you said except I kept Howrunner, added a TIE Fighter and added Vader to cover her. No leading shot, but still managed a lot of damage with the Vic-2. Quad Battery turrets was useful during the entire match. The Interdictor saved the Vic-2's butt on 2 occasions with targeting scrambler. One MC30 roll was 2 blue hit, 4 hit/crit, that turned to 2 blanks, 2 hit after using TS. My opponent almost rage quitted at that point (which is understandable). The Arquitten didn't even get a shot off before getting blown off by MC30s (my opponent was playing 3 of those). Station assault is not that great of an objective as my opponent just flew past my ships and destroyed them both (still killed 2 mc30s and 2 flotillas before that happened). I think I should just switch to most wanted and force people to pick the other objectives.
