TylerTT 1,295 Posted September 1, 2017 Thanks FFG for making a starter box that is a great value and smartly designed. unlike the original starters there is no wasted cards or dice when you buy a seccond copy. You get a compleat playset of all the cards and that leaves you with some nice deck building flexibility! some players don't like buying two but I think it's a great solution. It allows players to cheaply buy one if they want and pick up a seccond if they like the game. It allows FFG to print more copies of the same thing thus bringing the overall costs down thanks to the economies of scale. everyone wins! One thing I really don't like about the two player box is the packaging. I think there are just as economical and beautiful solutions that would give players a more useful home for their collection. I would have gone with the window plasticclamshell + tuck box packaging you use for boxed x wing expansions. Show folks those pretty dice on the shelf! Give players extra rows for more dice and sleeved cards. tomarrow I plan to get a few games in with a single set then try adding a a yellow character and more cards from my standard Colection to each deck. 2 blackholexan and Manchu reacted to this
Yivrael 151 Posted September 2, 2017 Agree on the box design/packaging/art…I think something like the fatbox from MtG would be useful and take better advantage of their art catalog.
ZachsDestiny 8 Posted September 2, 2017 I love phasmas cost I've been running him with edarth vader sith lord and leadship is amazing in that deck. My only issue with set is i think phasma is under costed.... 10 health 3 damage sides for 9 seems silly and now vader can use imperial inspection plus best defence to protect himself. Idk already seems slightly broken. 1 Saltystig reacted to this
