Yep, facing a bunch of female troopers in a tabletop game would sure be upsetting....  said almost nobody in this century.

The ONLY exception to this would be if it was inaccurate to have female figures. Like a Napoleonic War setting for instance.

There were next to no females fighting on frontlines during these times, so it would be slightly upsetting to see female infantry if the miniatures game was advertising historical accuracy.

You want to know something funny? When I first realized that the female rifleman had her hair resting on her backpack, my Army reflex kicked in and all I could think was "Its going to suck when that gets caught in her gear".

 

I guess they wanted to make it more clear that she was female since most of the chest and face are covered up by the rifle, but there's a reason most female soldiers put their hair up in a bun under the helmet.

For the people who say that women and aliens should be in separate packs, I will say the same thing I tell my 4 year old son: if you don't like onions on your pizza, pick them if and put them to the side.  The rest of us like onions.

Apologies that I get worked up over this sort of thing.  But being married to a woman and having a daughter had made me realize that including women in gaming is something worth getting worked up over.

As for original trilogy only, I assume you will not be using AT-RTs, hh-12 troopers, ion troopers, z6 troopers, scattergun troopers, t-47 ground buzzer, snowtrooper flamethrower or Vader's saber throw ability?

Hyperventilating, stereotyping and throwing out the “M card” are scientifically proven to quickly force billions of competent people (legal term) to reach a perfect consensus on complex issues in 2018, and beyond.

I am at the Emerald City Comic Con right now, and many 1000s of wildly different people are getting along marvelously in the crowded and hectic center.  We are looking to have fun, and focus on what we have in common.  If we focused on differences and complained about this imperfect world, it would be a VERY different experience.  But, thank God, 99.9% of the folks here are choosing grooviness over grumpiness.

I want women and aliens because they are a part of the star wars universe.  If you want to cut standard star wars elements out of your army, then it is on YOU to buy extra packs so that you have enough troopers with male genitalia to form a squad.

So lets assume we have about 50% human women in SW.

But in original trilogy there was not so many of them in rebel army.

There is less than 50% women in many places: mineing, construction sites, police, military. And if they are there, they are most likely to work in different workplaces.

Even communists who propagade gender "equality" use mostly men to army and other mentioned jobs.

Read some history about women in WW I, WW II, Vietnam war... Etc. Also partisan army were mostly males. 

SW was created before all this SJW nonsens. Stop trying to put your agenda there!

There is no problem to me that women and aliens are in rebel army. But TO BE ACURATE, NOT PC there could be more men than women and more aliens than women.

And one more thing (example from some company i have work) for women standard was to carry 30kg by hands and 80kg on pallet jack, for men standard was 50kg and 460kg on pallet jack. Equality.

You can support equality without being a SJW.  Yes, historically militaries have been primarily male.  In the current Star Wars canon, we see women composing a significant portion of both Imperial and Rebel militaries.  Therefore it makes sense to include them in the base package.

Side note, I'm a little disappointed we didn't get more aliens in the Rebel ranks.   Hopefully that changes in the future.
