Imperial Probe Droids.

A probe droid would be very cool.  Random wondering monsters would be nice too. Having a Rancor tear through  a squad of troopers one turn, only to see it trashing a squad of Rebels  a few turns  later would be epic.

Gimme jet troopers. Gimme Veers. Gimme Rebel commandos.  Gimme a sandcrawler. Gimme various aliens

I'd rather see models for most of the IA heroes than any characters created for Rogue One or Rebels.

Sandcrawler?

SANDCRAWLER?

That would be...possibly the best thing ever.

**** Ewoks, I want a Jawa faction!

Can we have a sarlaac pit? Kills one dude within reach each round?

Yep Snarlaac Pit would be  incredible. It being a random threat  range from turn to turn would keep it interesting too.

Hoping for a U-Wing tbh, it's kinda big though, and have some of the support and/or heavy options be off-board support, calling in Y-Wing bombing runs, artillery strikes, reinforcements and the like

Also, specific battle sets as expansions would be groovy, like a Rogue One themed pack with rebel commandos and shoretroopers or deathtroopers, Endor, Hoth etc.

Also also, flat pack terrain sets maybe? Tatooine market, streets of Naboo, heck, do the siege of Coruscant for some close up and personal cityfights.

- A type of Rebel Trooper with armor original to this game.

They could always go with Rebel Battle Armor, they do seem to like grabbing things from SWGs so they could use this too if they needed to.

Basically everything from Star Wars Rebels. For a cartoon, it really feels like Star Wars, almost more than TFA.

Probably because Dave Filoni has worked a lot with Lucas and also is a big Star Wars fan who likes to try and give the fans what they want so long as it makes sense, hence why we got Thrawn.

Ah the SWG rebel battle armor, talk about nostalgia.

And yeah +1 for the probe droids those could bring some cool things to the game if done right.

Inferno Squad

Twilight Company as well.

major Bren Derlin

General Kalani and battle droids.

Sequel Era troops; First Order and Resistance.  Honestly, this is my top wish.   That and money to buy, time to play, and skill to paint.

Whilst I started off with some sensible suggestions and there have been plenty more exciting ones, here's some further thoughts;

Characters that arnt commanders; cant issue orders just very elite/killy/solos/buffs others

Thrawn, and a Chimera transfers pack. Perhaps with different heads, the same body/uniform could be Tarkin or a generic Admiral

Same model, perhaps with different heads/poses to be General Veers/Weiss/Generic

Twin pack of rebel pilots; Wedge and Biggs with perhaps alternative alien heads such as Nein Numb and a more generic alien?

Twin pack of imperial Pilots with different heads Howlrunner/Countess Ryad  And Night Beast/ Soontir Fel

Rebel Pathfinders (I'm guessing 5 models) with further aliens and female bodies (can still be humanoid; 3 female bodies with human and twilek heads, two male bodies with human and twilek heads and four unisex heads; bothan, rodian, Sullustian, Duros,

Twin pack of Mon Calamari admiral and attendee; Raddus and Ackbar as admirals?

Sandtroopers on Dewbacks

Imperial Scouts on foot; snipers and spotters?

Shoretroopers

Krennic and Deathtroopers

Veteran Pathfinders including models to be the right species to represent Bistan, Pao, Tenza, And a bit more variety on the less standard human shapes rebel species.

A big Civil war on Madalore expansion/wave or two with

Sabine, Fenn Rau, Ghost Crew,

'Classic' Mandalorians for all factions including Protectorate Starfighters

Gar Saxon, Imperial Super commandos

Plus all the expected heroes and villains. It would be good to have the option to build a small elite rebel force with lots of names characters whilst imperials get more elite gear?

I think Saw Gerrera will come much sooner than we think. In cannon his whole backstory is about mobilising military forces against the empire before the alliance even formed. Reckon he will come into play with Krennic and Death troopers on the other side as well as a Rogue One wave.

I hope they flesh out each wave with a distinct new set of effects/abilities much like they did with X-wing in the early days too, so we aren't just getting interesting models/chumps, but introducing game changing ways to create a diverse array of lists.

I'm so worried that this game will quickly devolve into more miniatures=win.

I have another wishlist item; that  the old WEG idea of the imperial army troop be thrown out, doused in gasoline and finally stomped into nothingness.   The standard Empire troop is the Stormtrooper.   We get enough variety with Stormies, scouts, shore, snow, and death troopers.

Navy troops, officers in uniform, both with and without armour fine.  But NO imperial army trooper - those are Stormtroopers.

My wishlist for this game is pretty big, but I'll go ahead and just give my first 5 wave ideas.

Wave 1
- Obviously a different box for all the units in the starter set.
- Four alternative leaders for the start, two Dark Side and two Light Side. I'm thinking Darth Sidious and Tarkin for the Dark Side and Han&Chewie(as a pair) and Leia for the Light Side.
- An additional unit for each faction. Probably some sort of 'elite' units, like Death Troopers for the Empire and Rebel Pathfinders for the Rebels.

Wave 2
- Two more leaders. Assuming they went with the options above, I'd say the ones here could be Boba Fett for the Dark Side and 'Master Luke' for the Light Side.
- Two more units. Probably Scout Troopers for the Empire and Wookie Warriors for the Rebels.

Wave 3
- Two 'special' units of sorts. Such as the AT-ST for the Empire (this would be the biggest unit in the game, without going into 'epic' scale, in my mind) and a Defense Turret of sorts for the Rebels. (Something about the size of the AT-ST, but stationary and alot more defensive.)

Wave 4
- Two more leaders. Once Again, assuming they went with all my above options, I'd say Thrawn for Empire and Kanan for Rebels. (This would be the first Wave of stuff from the Rebels TV Show, btw.)
- Two more units, from Rebels. I'd say this would be about time for some more 'elite' units, so I'd go with an Inquisitor for Empire, since we know there's a ton of Inquisitors, and Phoenix Squadron as the Rebels 'elite' unit.

Wave 5
- About now would be a good time to introduce two more 'big' units, so I was thinking Dewback Trooper for Empire and a Bantha Rider for the Rebels.

----
Anyways, this is just a small list of ideas I'd like to see eventually. Also, for those that don't feel like reading -

Empire
Leaders
- Darth Sidious
- Tarkin
- Boba Fett
- Thrawn
Units
- Death Troopers
- AT-ST
- Inquisitor
- Dewback Trooper

Rebels
Leaders
- Han&Chewie
- Leia
- Master Luke
- Kanan
Units
- Wookie Warriors
- Defense Turret
- Phoenix Squadron
- Bantha Rider

Just generic commanders. I want my games to tell my own story making sense within the star wars universe, and my setting is ready - there is no room for any known imperial commanders in there.

On a related note, some sullustans would be nice.

I don't think you would want Admirals leading your troops.

If you have Rebellion any of the leaders that can help in ground combat would be good choices. Perhaps Veers for example?

I am a bit suspicious of Boba Fett, would a Civilian Contractor be allowed to lead army units?

No. He'd probably fit into a specialist role. I could see Sabine and other named characters filling in that unit type.

Amazing ideas!!!! Head swaps would be a neat way to add extreme versatility to any squad.
