Oh I misread this at first. Because its a well manufactured fake. Why risk it being true, there are two other threats I could lynch instead that dont risk handing the game to scum.

Okay guys I've been doing a lot of thinking about my second question I asked JJ...

I asked are any of the guards or guard captain a threat to town

the response I got was not yet

now the answer pertains to information at the start of the game

the more I think about... I don't think there is a cult

The guards and the captain were not threats at the beginning of the game 

but one or all of them can or will become a threat at some point during the game

i didn't ask anything about a cult

when I asked about threats to town (my first question) I got a definite answer (3) 

why would JJ give me a definite answer for my first question but then give me a speculative answer for my second... based on an event that might happen AFTER the game started...

The "not yet" answer I got makes me think one of the guards is lying and they have an alignment switching stipulation

I am San Diego for the long weekend, popping on to say I am staying current as I can, and that so far I think the discussion that has happened has been good. I understand I'm on the short list with an unverifiable claim, but that Was why I wanted to claim early.

Still think Caldias is Cult Leader and Imp Cap is scum... That means maybe 2 more scum... That is harder to discover.

I'll go with Vis or Cal. Cal is lowest risk and a perfect fake claim for a cult. Vis covers two avenues: if he's been turned, we can turn to Cal. If there is no cult, then something funky is going on with the guards. Vis is my preferred choice, but I'll switch if we're leaning Cal.

If theres no cult, why on earth would we lynch a guard, when the only other explaination we've come up with for "Not yet" has the survivig guard flipping on the others death?

If that were the case, why would Roc be pushing so hard against Vis? Again, I'm fine with hanging Cal as well, but Vis has been setting off an awful lot of alarm bells.

I legit dont know. But if its a cult thing, then most likely call is the leader and then he has to go first. At the very least we know Vis isn't the cult leader.

Yeah, by my math, if we don't get the cult leader we are fighting uphill the rest of the game.  We know neither mad nor his guards are the leader as they started as not a  threat, so even if any of them are converted or whatever, they still aren't as big a threat as the leader. And if there is no cult, Mad makes a good point that one might turn traitor.  Lynching any of the guards seems like a bad play IMO.  Too much risk with little expected payoff.

Ok, just caught up, sorry for the absence

I think that if one of the guards is to turn to another faction, it'd be a hidden aspect of the role. As much as Broba strikes me off as a fakeclaim, the risk of lynching him is too much.

Also, claiming fruit vendor would  be the STUPIDEST thing a cult leader can do, because to be verified the whole cult is public knowledge once he flips. If he's worried about watchers and trackers, any role that has an actual action and a target is good enough of a claim

Imp cap, by process of elimination from my list, your claim doesn't seem to match the flavour as well as everyone else's does, and exactly a thing you did in D1 all thought was scummy and I even pushed a lynch on Ghost for that (sorry nippy) was dropping the vote abd leaving

Mad and Toad, I totally understand.  My role is the worst, and seems to be the perfect red herring for a cult leader to point to.    That said, I know I'm not cult, let alone a cult leader, and I want to win this, so I need to put my money where my mouth is.

CNinja's claim is also really good cover, but he has been breadcrumbing it, so either he's really a great liar or he's telling the truth, and the latter seems less complicated.  If he's being honest, he isn't cult either, as his ability avoids their power if I am remembering correctly.  

Sooo...I've said Broba or Imp, and Broba looks more likely to happen.  Also, his ability sounds scary, but at this point, if cult has been doing its job and wasn't blocked a round, and assuming they just need to control the vote to win, they win if we are wrong anyway.  We need to get the leader.  I am willing to follow CNinja's lead here, as by my math he's the only one other than Toad that I can count on not being cult, assuming each is honest.

I will try and check periodically as things develop.

Voting me is a bad idea, and more importantly I think you are all being distracted by my claim and forgetting the events of this entire game, where I have been the least scummy of those currently under the microscope. 

I understand my claim is hard, hoped I explained it well enough. 

For now I feel confident that Caldias is the cult leader and there is a fair chance we are seeing cultists try to swing the vote my way.
