Imperial Stormtrooper 833 Posted October 13, 2017 I'll be using both ranks this time, I do plan to use it before each attack, but I'm not sure how many ranks next round.
SavageBob 1,389 Posted October 13, 2017 (edited) Pango's treads carry him down the windy path toward his target. He draws a stun grenade and hurls it toward the Kyuzo. 1 Maneuver to draw stun grenade; 2nd Maneuver to move to Short range (2 Strain). Attack roll: Throwing a Stun Grenade (Ranged (Light)): 3eA+2eP+1eC+1eD+1eS 0 successes, 2 advantage, 1 Triumph Crap. I mistyped the dice pool; that should have been 3Y2G for my attack roll. GM? How would you like to handle this? Reroll the whole thing? Reroll a green as a yellow? Sorry! Don't want anyone to think I'm cheating! Nightone 640 Posted October 14, 2017 Yeah best is a reroll! That way it will be fair. If you happen to mis type just make a corret roll and type in (corrcted) in the actions names field. if you just forgott about a die you may just roll that one extra. SavageBob 1,389 Posted October 14, 2017 (edited) OK, retooling, and flipping a DP: Ranged (Light) attack: 4eP+1eA+1eC+1eD+1eS 2 successes That's a stun grenade, so 8 base damage + 2 for successes + 2 for Point Blank = 12 strain damage before soak. Oh, and Omega suffers 2 more strain for using Dodge 2. Edited October 14, 2017 by SavageBob 1 Nightone reacted to this
Imperial Stormtrooper 833 Posted October 15, 2017 (edited) Ow, okay then, 7 strain from the attack. I'll use a maneuver to pull out the energy bow and another (2 strain) to take cover. Ok, I didn't see any defensive talents that you can use on my turn (besides defense 1), so I'll attack with the bow. Attack with the Energy Bow: 4eP+1eA+1eD+1eS 5 successes, 2 advantage EDIT: I forgot the setback for winds. Oops (Forgotten Setback): 1eS 1 failure So, That's 9+4 damage with pierce 5 (but I think you have Cortosis), and 2+1 advantage, I'll trigger knockdown with two of the advantage and recover strain with the last one. I think its over to you. Oh, and I'll be using one rank in dodge and a DP, on you next attack. The stun grenade had seemed to come from nowhere, but then Omega spotted it, the droid had closed the gap they were supposed to start at, and hit him with a stun grenade. 'Not this time' Omega thought to himself, dropping behind some volcanic rock, and pulling out his energy bow. He opened fire on the droid, 'A hit!' the droid was knocked over by it as well, 'I may yet win this...' Omega thought, hoping it was true this time. SavageBob 1,389 Posted October 16, 2017 OK, flipping a DP back for the next attack, then. Pango saw the Kyuzu soak up the stun blast, but he didn't fall. Instead, he took out a strange bow and shot the droid square in the chassis! The blow flipped the droid upside down, his treads spinning in the air fruitlessly. The droid activated his self-righting mechanism to flip back to upright. He extended another stun grenade and threw! 1 maneuver to right myself, another to pull out the stun grenade (2 strain). Attack! Stun Grenade (Ranged (Light)): 4eP+1eA+1eC+1eD+2eS 1 success, 1 advantage 8 base damage + 1 for successes + 2 for Point Blank = 11 stun damage before soak. Even with your Prime Positions, I think that puts you over your threshold, no? 2 Imperial Stormtrooper and Nightone reacted to this
Imperial Stormtrooper 833 Posted October 16, 2017 Yep, that's game. Pierce has turned out to be worthless since everyone else, was afraid enough of lightsabers that they took cortosis. I think this character idea just doesn't work when everyone even thinks about min-maxing. Perhaps its karma I did unintentionally (but it did make sense) manage to kill off 3/4 of the PCs in my in-person game yesterday as GM. 3 Nightone, awayputurwpn and SavageBob reacted to this
SavageBob 1,389 Posted October 16, 2017 I was actually quite worried by you in this match! With your ability to leap about and dodge, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to catch up to you or connect. But I noticed both of those abilities are Strain-intensive, so that's why my strategy was to lob stun grenades and ignore your much higher Wound Threshold. Note, also, that I didn't try to glop grenade you, since every time I go up against an Agility monster, they always seem to get a Triumph when rolling to avoid suffocation, and then use that Triumph to avoid the grenade altogether. I think things could have gone a lot differently if you'd have gotten the first blow, and if I'd rolled a bit more poorly. All in all, very good match! 2 Imperial Stormtrooper and Nightone reacted to this
Imperial Stormtrooper 833 Posted October 16, 2017 Yeah, I tried to make a glass cannon, but for that to work it needs to have a bit more control over the setup then is possible in this format. So good game, but focusing so much on attack has come back to hurt me in every match so far. 2 SavageBob and Nightone reacted to this
Nightone 640 Posted October 17, 2017 Once the smoke and dust clears off the little droid stand triumphing at the edge of the mountain. Once again the machanical beeing triumphs over the humanoids flesh and his master the Hutt will earn a lot of money for this little event. And while the droid and the unconciness body of the Kyozu are take from the planet surface, the little circuts within the droids hope for a bit of peace in seeing his constructor while the Kyozu dreams of betetr days when noone tried to Kill him where ever he went. Congratulations to the winner P0NG-0 Well played both of you! thanks for the nice RP! 2 Imperial Stormtrooper and SavageBob reacted to this

Nightone 640 Posted October 23, 2017 Heat 5C @Richardbuxton with Arrther vs @SavageBob with Pango Location: http://orokos.com/roll/561406 6 = The Hangar (of an secret Black Sun base) Initative Skill: http://orokos.com/roll/561407 61 = Vigilance (you both are not aware off each other, winner of the initaive sees the other one first) Starting Range: http://orokos.com/roll/561408 74= Long Destiny Pool: @Richardbuxton choose high or low, then @SavageBob shall roll the d100 winner decides on color. You also may roll initative any time. Location: The Hangar of the crime syndicate "Black Sun", locatet in the Asteroid field on the outskirts of the Falleen System. Once this place was a shadowport and a prison for very special enemys of prince Xizor... now it is nothing but a ghost facility... since the latest inmate Arrther made his move to gain freedom once again... no single life on the asteroid was spared in his dark onslaught, now he arrives at the hangar where a very old Skipray is waiting to be his shuttle off this forsaken place. At the same Time P0NG-0 has arrived... delivered in a crate that opens automaticly, his huttese boss had only told him to wait in the hangar bay for his opponent. the hangar is full of debris: cables, fuel tanks, crates, two deconstructed "Z-Tie Uglys", Three cranes hung down from the ceeling, and a lot of mechanic tools are lying everywhere (those villain machanics werent to accurate with them...) A terminal for the 3 cranes is in the medium distance to both opponents. (activating/ using the craines will always need a hard computer check + defens setbacks on meele, since those things can be used as an weapon with 10 damage, crit 4, Linked 2, Knockdown, Desorient 1) Rule of High ground: if a moving maneuver is spend to climb up crates or tanks to gain a higher evelation than the opponent, the higher character gains a boost and the lower a set back to any distant combatchecks (Good Luck to both of you!) 2 Richardbuxton and SavageBob reacted to this

SavageBob 1,389 Posted October 24, 2017 Note that Pango's traded in the thermal detonator for the gear load out he used in the exhibition match against Grrwwwlll. That means he's added an enhanced optics suite (-2 SB from environmental effects on vision-based checks), and added a knockout grenade and a military belt pouch. Coin flip: coin flip: 1d100 74 Initiative: Vigilance check: 2eP+1eA 1 success, 4 advantage Once we've figured out Destiny Points, I'll make my first move! 2 Richardbuxton and Nightone reacted to this

SavageBob 1,389 Posted October 24, 2017 Here ya go! Destiny Pool: 1eF 1 Dark Side
SavageBob 1,389 Posted October 24, 2017 As the walls of the crate fell open, Pango saw the remote retreat, its delivery finished. The words of his maker, Turee, were clear in his memory banks: "It's another lightsaber guy. But you can do this." Pango wasn't so sure; Guapa had gotten tired of one-hit wins using the thermal detonator; the advertisers weren't happy with matches that ended so quickly. The Hutt had demanded the Sullustan girl Turee revamp the droid somewhat, removing the detonator from his arsenal and upgrading his optics suite a bit. Then, the Hutt gave Pango his directive for this fight: "Don't fail, little droid. Little Turee won't like another week in the dungeon!" The demolitionmech steeled himself. Where was the lightsaber guy? There. Down across the hangar, pretty far away. Too far for a grenade, really. But the new optics suggested that the Human hadn't noticed the droid yet. Pango retracted a glop grenade from his chassis and inched ever so closer, then loosed it... 1 maneuver to draw the grenade, another (for 2 Strain) to move to Medium (within range thanks to Strong Arm). Flipping a Destiny Point... Ranged (Light) attack: 4eP+1eA+2eD+2eS 5 successes, 2 Triumph Holy moly. With one of those Triumphs, I'd like to upgrade Arrther's Coordination check to avoid suffocation on the foam. With the second, I'd like the grenade to bounce off a tibanna gas canister, triggering it to explode (described in the environmental set pieces document): Damage 5, Critical 4, Range [Close], Blast 5, Concussive 2). The explosion requires a roll to hit (GG vs. P), so let me know if I should roll it, or if we should call in a GM. 2 Nightone and Richardbuxton reacted to this
Nightone 640 Posted October 25, 2017 I'll go ahead and roll, but next time you may do the roll your self ^^ http://orokos.com/roll/562126 - No Defense calculatet since it is an "enviormental Attack" 2eA+1eD: 2 successes [2eA=S, S/A] [1eD=Th] Sums up to 7 damage before soak to arrther 1 SavageBob reacted to this
SavageBob 1,389 Posted October 25, 2017 (edited) I was really hoping to trigger its Concussive property, but alas, no advantage. ETA: @Nightone, does my Point Blank talent apply to this attack? If so, damage goes up by +2. I could see it going either way. Edited October 25, 2017 by SavageBob
