I'll have to check them out.

They're not very well known, which is surprising considering their level of musicianship. They have a sound comparable to a mix of Yes and Rush. I'd suggest starting with the album "V", as it is their most popular one. Just a warning: The final song runs for 27 minutes.

I just want to say that I've had a lot of fun with this, and I appreciate everyone playing along. I hope you all had fun too.

I will see if I can come up with something fun for tomorrow and the final countdown... do dee do do, do do do do, dee de do, do do do do do do

Although at my kiddo's insistance, I switched out Therion for Kamelot today...

Your son is around 4 if I remember correctly. Well done on the cultural education front Dras!

This reminded me of my own autistic son finding AC/DC soothing at 2 years. He would be out before the first song was over.

Similar boat.  He liked the rolling rock-lines you'd get from AC/DC when he was younger to help him sleep...  Then there was a period of time he really liked Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, and when his mother was home, Rammstein...  But he's softened into some more Melodic and Operatic metal the past year, going into my other Staples of Therion, Kamelot and even a local home band, Vanishing Point.

I remember there being one once. It was a hero-clix style game if I remember correctly.

Yes.  Being that it was owned/licenses by FASA in originality, it was taken over to WizKids alongside BattleTech.  (Who then produced the MechWarrior Click-Tech Game, which was a terrible flop.)

Which means, if anyone, it belongs to TOPPS now (as BattleTech Does)
