Do you have an idea when you want as the deadline for these games? Presumably a decent bit in the future as we await the results of the NA:W playoffs.

Quarter finals kick off no later than Monday 9th October (or earlier if the win big or go home qualifiers are done before that date) and will run a week and a half to 2 weeks.

And Jugger wins!  ... But not by much, because I wasn't foolish enough to charge into three Ion Cannon tokens and he wasn't foolish enough to charge into GT Avenger's front arc, so we danced for five turns.  I blew the TIE alpha strike on a gamble that very nearly paid off, trying for two Hammerheads, but one narrowly dodged a forced ram to escape with a hull.  In return, he carved up my squadrons, taking down all three vanilla Interceptors, Suicide Squadron, Valen Rudor, and Saber Squadron.

Jugger (W) -- 67 || 45 -- (L) Ard

As usual, @JJs Juggernaut played immaculately the entire game, and was a great sport despite my kind-of-halfway-accidentally playing the avoidance game in a match that we both needed to play for MoV on.  Sorry dude.

On which point:  22 MoV is the mark to hit in NA:W!

Can it be that this is the wrong log?
It is: Ardaedhel vs MattAntilles and ends at turn 4.

One thing I was thinking that might be super cool (but maybe not :) ) is a "Salon de Perdants".  Keep the wonderful Vassal presence going while the Eliminations are going on.

Not that @Green Knighthas to organize of course!  What do you guys think?  Would pick up games be just as good?

I'm thinking something fun (new fleets for sure.) Maybe assign random commanders/ships/upgrades?  maybe 400 points on a 3x3?

Edit: Changed Losers to Perdants because it sounds nicer in French. :)

I was the most upset at loosing my last match simply because that meant no more Vassal games for some time.  So I'm all in.

Couple ideas...

- I remember the random box tournament where you randomly got product boxes that dictated what was available to you.  If memory serves me, it was smaller 200 pt quick matchs?  I remember good times there.

- I think it'd be fun to do "Uniques Off Limits" meaning that any unique card save your admiral is off limits.  Call it battle of the generics.

Losers should be on the losing side!

Compose a fleet according to the standard rules, BUT:

- You are not allowed to pick a Fleet Commander that achieved to be in qualification or knock out rounds

- You are required to spend at least 60 points in titles and squadrons that are NOT in qualification or the knock out rounds (yes, Han Solo time is comming!)

Or how about a random mix match. Everyone who signs up hand in a list (it has to be a playable list....).
And these lists are given out at random to all players at each round. So you can gamble on doing a rather bad list, and hope that your opponent get it.

This way you will see some new lists (even some strange ones) and you will play a new list on each round. And you will see a difference to this min/max lists that happen right now. And maybe even see some squadrons you never saw on the field so far :P.

First shot of the game was from one of MHD's Raider II with Dcaps, Ion Cannon Batteries and Fire Control teams.

At long range:

3 Blue - Hit Hit Crit
CF - Crit
CF token - Acc!

Scatter accuracied, Ion Cannon Batteries drops shield, fire control team add a crit effect, struct damage on the flop. Dead flotilla.

... And that was the highlight of my action during the game. The remainder was all Tokra squads eating raiders one at a time as I tried in vain to get in close to his ISD. The win goes to Tokra, in a tense but fun game.

Killing Stele was as well a highlight. Because this lousy looser rolled two accuracy at the worst time :P

The battle of Sloane and Dodonna has ended. We played my Contested Outpost. End of Round 4, @Realadmiralsdoitinspace and I have called it, 217 to 147 in my favor. Both fleets were on reciprocal courses away from both each other and the station and at high enough velocity returning to the fight wasn't a real option. Logfile here.

And because I forgot to start it until round 2, here are pics at the end of 0 and 1
