Does this game have a core mechanic problem?

I think Destiny will settle down after a few more sets have been released. At this stage the card pool is small enough that any noob can stumble on a good combo, even before they search for a net list.

Once we are up to 100 characters they combo options should allow for a huge variety of good lists. It will also make it difficult for one type of list (aggro, control, mill) to dominate at events.

Patience is key for now. Just collect rare and legendary cards while the game builds up. In 10-15 years those Awakenings Darth Vader are going to be like Black Lotus.
