2515 Outer-Rim Prisoner Transport

I love flying a Rebel Captive Buzzsaw Lambda with a pair of Interceptor Aces on beer nights...so I had the idea to make it a bit custom, and @Vykes is making it happen. She's a bit more worn than the Tydirium huh @heychadwick, @Babaganoosh, @Biff?

2515 Outer-Rim Prisoner Transport Team, a squad that has seen countless years of service taking prisoners from ship to hellhole and back whenever called upon. Looking at their ships, you can feel the history; the endless rain and sweltering air or the dry oppressive heat of the landing zones they frequent, dark places to extract information from spies or remove the enemies of the Galactic Empire from society. So common are the groans and cursing of violent shackled blokes and creatures being drug into the Lambda and slammed into a holding cell for transport, the crew seems to hardly notice anymore. But the Outer-Rim is no place for a shuttle to run free; marauders and bandits looking to make a credit on grabbing bounty’s or freeing scum for cash or grab a new pressed crew member for service on their ships would make easy prey of such a slow moving bird, even with buzzsaw cannons at the ready. But she never travels alone; always runs some powerful escorts out there in that hell-hole; always a pair of interceptors; “some good ol' aces who've more than proven themselves against all the pirates and 'bounty hunters' looking to make a profit by picking on an Imperial shuttle, eh?” The crew don’t run with the typical Imperial polish; they live on the edge of the galaxy, making profits for themselves on the margins. As long as they get their cargo to the chosen destination, the spit and polish of the Fleet Admirals and Commanders let them do as they will…no one wants to replace them at their jobs. Standard fair, she flies towards a gleaming Star Destroyer; hearing the smart sounding com mumble through the cockpits typical rabble, the 2515 prisoner transport team hears the familiar blather, "prison transport 2515, set bearing to..." the crew doesn't give much attention to the commands, and fail to listen to the rest of the boring transmission. As a few cans fall over the side of the console, the navigation officer turns down their standard hard-edged music blaring through the cockpit a bit, and clears his throat; he fakes some professionalism in his reply, "this is 2515, your comms are breaking up a bit, we're landing in bay 6. We'll take out your trash for ya," and abruptly cuts off communication, returning the music to its previous obnoxious level. As the Transport eases into the bay; the looks and shielded gossip from the hangar team is classic, and all too common; the observers quietly mock and snicker at the weathered shuttle and her worn escorts. The crew hardly stops the engines before the platform lowers while the ship slows its turn and lands solidly on the smooth deck; music, dirt and debris spills into the quiet hangar as a pair of heavily armed security crew exit the craft to grab their bounty. Loading the prisoner takes just moments, and they have their payload; leaving the bay at a speed well over standard protocol is their signature exit; making hangar control teams wince gives the seasoned gruff pilot great joy.....onlookers just shake their heads. My 2515 Outer-Rum Prisoner Transport and escorts needed to tell a story in their re-paints, and @Vykes is amazingly doing just that:

Looks like some 'good ol' boys' driving around in the back country to collect their bounty, on the verge of being against the law ...

Very nice looking lambda ...

I love all of the character you put into a simple Lambda-Aces list. I like the aesthetic and I think you should do some sort of story blog about Shuttle 2515 and her escort.

Durn.....that's awesome.   Amazing paint job and great back story!   Even my son was walking past and said, "Wooaah......"

Thanks guys; I just had the blather, @Vykes has the artistic touch that really tells the story. I could wax on and on about the guys flying what most dare not try, the 2515 squad.

I love them. Those look like ships that could have been stationed with the sandtroopers on Tatooine. That sand and grime gets everywhere, they must have stopped bothering to clean it.
