Thanks for pinging me, honestly just got lost in work today, but seeing the notification pop up reminded me that we had scum to hunt!! I haven't caught up yet, but as far as your above statement, Gink being Gink is something you can always count on!

And I am caught up. So far, the thing that has stuck to me most is how convenient it would be if Mad and Truth were both Scum. Maybe too convenient, but I agree it does play like it.

Ovino's stuff just seems like normal Ovino to me. the guy always seems guilty as all get out, and then he flips a power roll cause people gank him day one. I don't know, maybe now he is scum and it's the perfect cover, but I wouldn't lynch just cause of that.

Well, lesson learned: joking is bad. Sorry, I just can't agree on ovi's behavior. An absolute statement that one of the people trying to drive conversation must be Scum, especially when those people have a track record of being early voters regardless of role, is inherently fishy to me. It's one thing to say that it's likely. It's another to be absolute.

More to the discussion at hand regarding Ovi, I think its dangerous to just list the players actually speaking and be like "one of these guys is scum". I mean, probably sure. I imagine we have 3 scum in an 11 player game, so taking 5 people theres a good shot theres scum in there. Theres probably scum on the other half of that line too. But the whole thing strikes me as much as a scum tell as anything I've seen yet, aside from those players not saying much.

So I probably should've posted as such, but this Armada game I play had some new ships come out, so I played a couple games of that from 3pm-10pm.  Just had to do something recreational with all this talk of scum in our midst.  Very unsettling to think some of our own refugees might not be who they seem.

I think, after catching up, I am leaning toward Ovino. Perhaps he is just trying to sow discontent, perhaps he's just as scared as the rest of us, but something seems off.  And Ghost of Nobody in Particular convinced me he's probably not gungan.

This is really interesting.  Your reason to press me is that I am playing along with my flavor? Nothing to hide, this is why I decided to tell you guys why I had been so inactive rather than you guys hear nothing from me and out of nowhere I jump in halfway through the game in a bandwagon and am lynched next day because I'm suspicious

I can't believe we are still on this. I know it had no relevance to the game, but I was pointed as inactive, I only wanted to clear things up about why, I never imagined people would be picking on this so much, next time I'll avoid explanations.

Because I'm not having enough time to go thoroughly to analyze! I'm having short bursts of time. From what I have seen:

Biggs is very quiet

Ovi seems way too confident on his list

CNinja keeps using his "beep-boop" saying he always used flavour, when I checked, he talked normally and played applying much more pressure on the last games

He didn't say he always uses flavor, he said he is using flavor now, and otherwise is acting normal. I don't get how he can be hiding behind his flavor. Everything in his posts are normal except for the Beeps and Boops, so what's the issue?

To answer a different point: Sure, ovi seems too confident n his list. He has a point, but to be 100% certain? Maybe a bit too far. However, why is that worth rapidly lynching him day 1? Normally his analyses are accurate, unless he's scum, in which case we can keep an eye on him and kill him later. But I find it interesting that 1 person (Mad) whom other people had voted for pointed out 1 thing he said, and now 4 people have voted him in rapid succession. It's like they needed an excuse to not vote Mad or Truthiness. Basically, the reaction seems a bit extreme so early on in the game, when he does actually have a point, and their issue is his seeming certainty rather than uncertainty. . . it's like they panicked, or he was too spot on. I'd be wary of those who jumped on the band wagon of ovi.

1. My post about Biggs was completely a joke. The lack of a lost seemed funny to me. That is all.

2. The certainty that worries people: maybe you all would like I said that I think there are some chances of a plausible situation where, maybe, one of those names could be scum, in a possible universe where I could be barely right about my opinions. All I said,  and I pointed to that is what I always says: scum like to be on trending topics and avoid being all I the same one. If all the scum are quite all we need is to turn to the quite people and the chances rise. I could be wrong but I think in every game a scum played the early votes or leading them or follow them.

I am happy about one thing. Almost anyone agreed my post and whoever saw some sense on it,  said that late and not too convinced. What make me think I am right about one scum between them. If there were not any scum they would support my list.

I can understand you see me between the suspects but for being one of those who vote early, not cause I made a list. It is not like I randomly choose some names. Are they those who move conversation? Yes. And I see the benefit of it. If you want to lynch people who don't talk, go ahead,  I never said we must lynch one of those who I mentioned. But if lynching quiet people is a natural way of action, why the he'll would scum keep themselves quiet?

Whatever. 

 

If any of these is enough to make all you think about whatever is supporting your votes I am fine. All I can say beyond that is:

By that logic, it's a bad list too since everyone not on the list isn't fighting it. All you've done is separate people into two arbitrary fields.
