ok, An introduction to the joke vote phase.

Everyone needs to start throwing votes around for "reasons". By doing this it starts to naturally build pressure in the game and gives us talking points.

Of course I'm not scum. I did say it was a joke vote. I would have been sincerely surprised had anyone actually agreed with it. Granted, Mafia Wiki does recommend lynching experienced players first, but I do not subscribe to such an opinion, preferring instead to depend upon their wisdom as long as possible.

One thing I know, it's that scum are quick to back off a vote when challenged, especially if it is on their scum buddy.  @Ginkapo how do you feel knowing your scum friend @GhostofNobodyInParticular ratted the two of you out by his wishy-washy voting record!?

Sheesh, that's scattered. . . I think joke voting is actually hurting us Gink, by spreading pressure around too far without enough focus. With almost half our votes spread among 5 players, not 1 of them can take such a vote seriously. Especially when you specifically asked us to joke vote. It's the same as openly stating 'We don't need to lynch day 1, but lets say we are'.

Paranoid; that's what town should be during joke vote time.  Scum love joke vote time.  They use it to gain town cred.  That's why we need to all act as scummy as possible so the people that look the most town are revealed for who they are!  Scum!

Gun shots fired!  Though that's not the point of joke voting period.  We still have a LONG time to go, and in all seriousness this little bit does let us figure out some things, even if a lot of it is goofyness.

There is benefit to all this. I have two lines of reasoning to pursue so far. I am still trying to refrain from pushing things so players cant hide.

Ownership of votes is crucial here.  Often we'll see scum do something try try and influence the vote on someone coming out of the joke vote period.  Like I did in the last game with Norrel, even though I didn't vote until late, I tried to get people onboard a serious lynch while trying to build up town cred.  We can look for people doing the same.

One thing I know,  is don't urinate on an electric fence. One other thing is that I agree with GNiP...this voting is awfully spread out. And Biggs, I do vote for experienced players. Makes em think....

But I'm gonna hold off until I see what happens to @Ginkapo with two votes.....

#role confirmed. Also DAMNIT truthi! You are ******* ending the day in the middle of the afternoon again....I'm literally going to miss the most important hours of every round. Some people have jobs that keep them from checking on forums in the afternoons....

Anyway, just getting caught up on everything now. I'll give thoughts soon, though the only thing that has stuck out to me currently as suspicious was GNiP's recommendation of no hammer day 1....we know how that has gone...

If Gink is town, his experience makes him a valuable resource. I'd rather not sacrifice him on the altar of applied pressure. The same would go for Odinsen, or Biggs. I'll want more to go on before killing players who could be valuable as vanilla town.

I'll throw a vote moodswing's way tho. No reason we can't apply pressure in two places at once.
