Can you provide any information on the planet, the protectee, why protection is required, and from whom?

I can tell you about the planet and why you were there in the first place.

The planet Garuu us a far-flung Outer Rim planet skirting the edge of Wild Space, home to an old but irrelevant colony. There's not much of interest on the planet, but there are some rumors that a Force-sensitive organization, possibly the Jedi or another group, had a temple or enclave there, so you've followed the trail.

You will start on the planet and be introduced to the endangered person while there.

So @Edgehawk called dibs on Seeker, @Magnus Arcanus called the Warrior, and @SebastianArrow called Sentinel.

Just remember the genre when designing the character.

How does this sound. A failed Jedi (who had a squabble with the Jedi "establishment") who basically goes around finding any job he can find. He is drifter who works as a handyman. Fixing things, mechanics, is his strong point but he has dabbled in spying for small-time organizations and few short run bodyguard jobs. Not that he's particularly effective at it but he is a body. Anything for credits. He does have his lightsaber and is not afraid to use it in big situations to get out of jams. That does mean the Empire will be coming for him but he has been lucky so far. Obviously that luck can't hold but so far, so good. A drifting job seeker who tries to forget about his knighthood but also doesn't want to forget it.

I'm thinking I might have been on the planet already, I'm looking to play a wanderer, a nomad on the fringes. Occasionally comes in to town, seen as weird. Maybe their is a force vengeance vergence on the island that triggered his powers or a chance encounter. However he was the Marshall if of the colony, but is now seen as weird and mentally ill for seeing visions and speaking in tongues.

When I say colony, I should sat descended from a colony. Its old enough that the residents are spread out and well-established, its just the population is still relatively low and the planet is remote. As far as the Empire is concerned, it's still a low-priority 'colony' world.

So is there any problem among the players of some of us having the same Career?  Specifically Consular?   For my Shaolin Monk concept, I'm debating either Ascetic or Sage (mostly leaning towards Sage), but I know someone else mentioned Ascetic.    Currently I'm mostly leaning towards Sage/Martial Artist for my concept, with Ascetic/Martial Artist a distant 2nd place.   Any conflicts with that combination?  Don't want to step on anyone else's concept if possible.

Is my backstory still work?

Yeah, probably.

Looking at the spec spread, I'd probably go Seer/Warleader instead of Seer/Gunslinger/Gambler. It would be cheaper to invest in two specs than three. Just a suggestion.

I do like to have one of each career... we can discuss it with @SavageBob.

I going to take enhance down to commit a force die to agility and im going to take forsee, my interest would be to have him learned a bit about his powers by an old mystical findsmen. So he'll use the firemen tradition and need to mediate before using foresee, but narrative meditation well mean getting drunk.

Just a thought, but I'm thinking your spreading your XP pretty thin. Assuming you put your starting XP into characteristics, that leaves around 150 XP to finagle with. 70 XP to purchase two extra out-of-career specializations, plus 20 XP to purchase two Force powers. That leaves 60 XP on talents from three specializations and two powers, not to mention skills. That's more of a long campaign character. I'm thinking more of a short campaign/adventure length, so I don't know how much XP you'll be getting to spend on all of different things you're buying at the start.

That's why I went with Knight level instead of starting: so players can start with a more 'complete' character.

What's the equipment/credits/rarity for buying items? He won't have a lightsaber just two guns and the cloths on his back mostly.

Details are in the first post.

I'm creating a Sathari Hunter/Ataru Striker. Thinking about dropping Hunter (mostly just a narrative origin) to pick up ranks in Parry? Seems like concentrating on a single spec might be better for this adventure?

That depends. Knight level either allows a character to invest in one specialization and a Force power pretty well, or two specializations sans a power.
