I am sure this has crossed someone's mind at some point....anyone have any fantasy fleet lists for 1,000 points?

Darth Lupine and I had gone as far as doing 1,500 points. That game made it to turn five in six hours, IIRC.

We could have finished, but the outcome was certain at that point. I think if we did it again it would go faster. I think the sweet spot is around 700-800 points.

I've also got a much better grip on Rebels (yuck!) now too.

I once played a crazy weird game on Vassal for fun with 1000, I've lost the list, but it pretty much consisted of 2 groups of formation flying ISDs (a 1 and a 2 in each), an interdictor with G-7X and a bunch of bombers. Oh, and all the ships were kitted to the teeth

Just for laughs I went into Warlords to see if I could design a 1,000 point fleet.

I ran out of points waaaay to early. That said, if anyone wants a 1,000 point vassal game some time, hit me up! :D

For the 1,500 we did I had something like 17 deluxe package ships plus squadrons. We were talking the full kit, and two of them were Liberties.

My usual battles are 900 points fleet/upgrades with 300 point fighter wings.  Makes you truly feel like an admiral :)

This is great... the field are so filled with fighters that your ships just wade through them as they pound each other, if is fun.  :)

How large are your playing fields at these points sizes?

I feel that 3*6 is good for about a maximum of about 6-800p but above that you loose out on ships with high mobility and flanking opportunity because capital ships will start to fill the entire board with their firing arcs. It is no fun when it just turn onto a big brawling contest aka. dice fest.

For the 1,500 point game Lupine and I played, we used the campaign's all out assault rules. 3x9 play area plus hyperspace reinforcements to keep the field from being too cluttered for the most part.

We might have a bigger battle coming up in our campaign so I thought about using slightly deeper field as well so about 4*9 and extend by half a feet on each side and add about four inches to the deployment zone depth as well. Thought being that you might need a bit more space for formation flying in a larger game.

Ship cards just have to be on another table beside the play area. We have a decent place to do this so no big deal.
