aw I was expecting something else.

That is what I call "expensive bacon."  They have it at the fancy grocery stores here. Mmmm...

Interestingly what people have described as American bacon we call streaky bacon, generally purchased by students cus it's cheap.

The bacon I showed in the picture is back bacon, it's sort of pig back shaped. I'm not sure what the whole round thing is, I've never seen a perfectly round pig.....

As I understand it - Its because its cut horizontally instead of vertically.  Cutting just the meat instead of hitting rind and fat and all ...  Its then sold just cured, whereas most other bacons are sold Smoked...  Which apparently means that Canadian Bacon is lower in Calories and Fat than typical Bacon.

Straight "Back Bacon" still often includes some fat and part of the rind.

Essentially giving 3 types of Bacon - Bacon, back Bacon, and canadian (peameal) Bacon.

To be honest, I don't really like Canadian Bacon as much...  It could be that I know I am deriving a thrill from eating something as bad as possible for me when I do eat Bacon, so streaky bacon is about as bad as it gets....  I can revel in that thrill...

But My Blood Pressure is up today, so the only food I've been allowed to eat was a bowl of Wholegrain Rice...  Cooked, but plain.

These food pictures only skyrocket my BP further.

Is Canadian bacon really Canadian? Or is it something like "French" fries?

All I know is they just call it "Bacon" here, without the Canadian - so that lends it to at least not be a "Trade Mark" of sorts...

Except at Denny's.

There you get Streaky Bacon.

...  and what you pay for.

I'll tell you what I want, what I really really want......

Ok so at the moment I'm struggling to fit gammon chips and peas with a mug of tea within a standard match.... so I think we need to take a step back and reconsider what we want to achieve. As it stands I wish to continue with the petition to have tournament matches of 135min in which 15 mins are put aside at the 60min mark to allow for TEA & CRUMPETS

Only if there's a sub-clause that allows substitution of Crumpets for Scones, of course...

I know it's a struggle to fit all the chips and peas in there, but do you really need all 4 pieces of fish? If you go down to 3, put ordnance experts on the peas, add in some cole slaw and a TIE fighter or two....

Also, unrelatedly, we all know breakfast leads to championships at Worlds.  But what percentage of people had bacon for breakfast and where did they place? Is 5 strips of bacon the new meta? What if i want to field only 3 strips?

This is important stuff, how does breakfast and regular beverage and snack breaks affect the top 8 in tournament, can you effectively manage reeikin without eggs and bacon, does Ryhmer work better fuelled by sugar and tea ?

I just assumed DJ Rhymer was powered by rage and funky fresh beats.

Tea is the reason I enjoy playing Armada at home so much as you can just stop and have a brew.... clearly we need to update the tournament time table to reflect a mid game tea break, 1hour stop for 15mins to have a cuppa then another hour to finish the game out..... Now i could cope with that!!!

Next tourney I arrange we'll break for "tea". It will be awesome :D
