For a moment, consider the meta irrelevant. (Understandably a challenge right now)

Consider the GAME. 100 point squads not a factor. It comes down to what do YOU think is the best build for each ship (upcoming cards included).  Answer as many or as little as you'd like, and feel free to edit.  No need for detail or justification, just SHARE!

Arvel Crynyd (23)

A-Wing (23), Chardaan Refit (-2), A-Wing Test Pilot (0), Intimidation (2).

I've killed Rey, Soontir, and many other top aces with this guy! Nobody expects how awesome he is until he crashes into the bridge of their Super Star Destroyer and pulls it right down onto the surface of their Death Star II!

My standard Norra:  PTL + R2-D2 + EU + Title + Kyle Katarn.  43 points.  She's expensive, but she can move and still end up with both a focus & TL every round (two focus if you don't need to boost).  I PTL a round ahead of when I expect combat to begin so when I roll in I'm already making use of Kyle.

I would say that APT is not worth the points. 48 points are more than enough in a small ship like Corran. Miranda is better suited to be 50+ points imo since she can SLAM and run easier than Corran can.

My favorite Y-Wing build (you mileage may vary since I play with 150 point limits)

Horton Salm

BTL-A4 Y-wing
Ion Cannon Turret
Bomb Loadout
Flechette Torps (or Extra Munitions)
R5-D8 (or R2-D2)
Prox Mines or Cluster Mines

For your modification, I usually leave it blank or slap on Vectored Thrusters. Yeah, I know, I'm losing the 360 turret arc, but the double tap forward arc attack is SOLID especially with the ion cannon. Nothing quite like screwing with an opponent's flight plans. I can't tell you how many times I've used these to force them onto rocks or off the play map.` The bombs are there to, well, be an effective nuisance.

Next is my A-Wing build which is always kinda in flux, but this is what I've been working with.

Experimental Interface
A-Wing Test Pilot
Push The Limit
Daredevil
Chardaan Refit

Hope you like stress tokens... I use this to get behind enemy lines fast and cause a ruckus.

Best Corran is 49 Corran: R2D2, EU, PTL, and Advanced Sensors. In a meta that's got really high defense or a lot of high-offense aces (cough Fenn cough), FCS is stronger; but any other time, take Advanced Sensors. As long as you move last, I'd imagine he could solo any two-ship list in the game. The insane maneuverability coupled with regen and bumping invulnerability is pretty disgusting.

Although . . . style points for APTs :P

This X 1000. AS Corran is the stuff of nightmares for some entire lists.

Oh, I agree - it was only as the OP had commented that it was in a vacuum - I run Corran all the time, I never take APT.

I've been playing Corran since day one, and to be honest, PS8 just doesn't cut it for me. He doesn't move last often enough and I still find it rare that I need them. I prefer the pure damage on the double tap.

 

Also, I find I never have that spare point :P

Best Dash builds:

Super/Rainbow: PTL, Kanan, HLC, Title, EU. 58 points.

Budget: Rey, Lone Wolf, HLC, Title. 52 points.

Smuggler's Pride (tankiest): Expertise, Smuggling Compartment, HLC, Rey, Title, Counter-Measures, Scavenger Crane. 59 points.

Attack shuttle; 

Dark side ezra: 

Rage, inspiring recruit, twin laser turret. (26 points). 

Super Sabine:

PTL, autoblaster, Kyle Katarn (29 points)

both could get another mod but I feel they start losing value if you don't keep them cheap. 

Ezra is a good all arounder, with defense, offense and a turret, while Sabine does 4 actions a turn for 0 stress.

It punches way above its pay grade, especially against PTL aces.

for 21% of a squad, this is pretty worthwhile. Hard pressed to find similar value.

I like these two builds coupled with a rey crewed VI Ahsoka tie.

these k wing builds are also good fun.

That's a very strange Corran build. I get the feeling he's going to be vulnerable only having 1 guaranteed damage blocked per turn.

Attack Shuttle:
Hera - VI, Autoblaster Turret, Navigator. 28 points of deadly ace-killing potential.

I run him with Ahsoka and then Boost/barrel roll out of arc if needed. or to help Token up with focus/evade if required. I've learnt to sacrifice my own shots to prevent return fire and keep him alive a little longer then hit hard with Expertise.

Stress however seriously hurts him!!

Ah, that makes a lot more sense. I was picturing him in the standard 2-ship lists, where this corran might suffer from action economy losses, but with Ahsoka, that's a very deadly corran.
