But... Printed paper... Um... Dang you.

Yeah, it's just another fine way to waste money on this game.  At least my wife thought it was a great idea too, so no fiduciary justification required.

And in even better news, tonight is a practice day.  Once my brother gets here, we are going to run thru a couple of the missions!

I have ideas, but I have enough gaming and Star Wars tshirts already. It just forces me down the dark path of improving on budget methods.

Good luck. Still trying to get mission time in. These look like fun.

So far the Resistance Sympathizer is allowed, and I think it will probably stay that way.  The alternative is the Outer Rim Smuggler, and being stuck with one of those (if you fail to draft a real YT-1300 pilot) would suuuuuck.

On the other hand, it would also represent probably the biggest boost in points if you did manage to draft a real pilot ... +15 point boost, at least?

Yeah, this is correct- I should go back to the rules and make this explicitly the case

Well, since Wave 11 is inbound, are these ships on the good-to-go list or the banned-cuz-we-haven't-checked-them-for-balance list?

@heychadwick, @Babaganoosh, looks like back to the playtesting tables for you!

I'll admit I've started to more seriously look at Scum as my secondary faction, due to the recent purchase of the C-ROC and a Protectorate. I'm having  a much easier time forging a draft list for Scum than I have been for Rebel or Imperials... And in many cases, don't care because the generics are quite the bargain.

I'll be making a call on wave 11 ships in the next couple of days. I do know that some cards, such as minefield mapper, will definitely be banned. I need to take a by-mission look at the other ships and cards.

The safer move is to ban wave 11, but if they are going to be out for a month before the event, that seems a bit harsh.

So, looking at the cards we know about, I think it's safe to say that the only thing that is going to be banned from Wave 11 (so far) is minefield mapper.  That card would really be dangerous in several scenarios.  The others don't seem to be obviously above the power curve, or pose a specific threat for scenario play.  If anyone sees something dangerous, let me know (I'm far from perfect and may have missed an application or combo).

The Auzituck might be quite good in missions due to the reinforce and large arc, but frankly Rebels suffer already from lack of high-PS+EPT pilots, so I don't mind a moderate bump to them right now. I don't think the Auzituck will be broken-level good in any particular mission.  This is partly because the escort-style missions such as Recon Run have the Imperial team protecting a VIP ship, not the Rebels.  If it were the other way around, the Auzituck might have been a problem.

We don't have enough information on cruise (missiles), or the unique droid in the Havoc pack to make a call on them yet.

I'll update the core rules to make this update clear.

There are also a ton of prizes by Black Box 7 to give away.   I'll have to get photos uploaded.   Also, when will we get a photo of the finished Space Station?

I'd be tempted to keep it secret till the final round

We could keep it secret until Gen Con.  Our current plan, pending table space, is to have it setup for display on Thursday & Friday.  We are hoping to attract more players if the event isn't a sell out.

Good point about drawing more players. Totally the call of those running the event, I'm just the kind of guy who likes to hold people in suspense. I'm a cruel GM.

With the complete spoilage of wave 11, I'm clearing everything from wave 11 except for minefield mapper and cruise missiles.  Minefield mapper easily becomes abusive in several missions (dropping mines and bombs on targets and in critical paths for enemy ships). Cruise missiles would be incredibly potent against static targets- the main drawback for them would normally be that it is hard to line up a shot when you are doing 4+ speed maneuvers, but when you're shooting a terrain piece that never moves, it's trivially easy to line up a very powerful and cheap shot.  All other components will be legal for Assault on Grayskull Base.

I was feeling pretty solid about my Rebel list... I'm... not so much now. I may need to revisit it. I'm still reeling over the H-6 Scurrg deadeye 'scouts.' Never was able to overcome the last wave of deadeye scouts with classic Rebel fighters.

TIE Aggressors will be really good for this....

Perhaps not really good, but they are certainly good and provide a role not performed by any of the other cheap TIE frames.

You don't think really good? I see a ship with turrets and Unguided Rockets with LWF and am pretty happy.

I do say that these ships want me to build lists that are all Tie Advanced and Tie Aggressors.  The visuals would just be amazing to me.

Personal opinion? It's kinda off topic, but being a Rebel pilot, particularly X-Wings, I'm looking at the survivability of the frame. The dial is consistent with an X-Wing, so not bad... It's even got more greens, dang it. The primary weapon is limited (not useless!) but yes you can toss more points in to upgrade the weapons. If I wanted a three gun ship in that price range though I'd be taking a TIE Striker or a TIE Interceptor. Where the TIE Aggressor will shine is with a turret covering the rest of the Imperial list while they regroup and reposition after an attack run. I think it makes a good harassing unit. Front line I don't think it'll do particularly well. LWF is ok... but limiting and I think the Aggressor will get picked off easily if separated too far from the 'herd.'

I'm not saying it's a bad ship. I'd add one to my Imperial list (if I build an Imperial list as my fallback) but I'd be looking solely on harassment and strafing.

Edit: Oh, and yes the appearance is wonderful. Definitely would look nice running beside TIE Advanced.
