The idea is the delta TLs for Vessery, who then shoots with his shots to decrease agility for Quickdraw's bombardment.

I think it adds some pretty good mind games, do they go for Quickdraw first and take a huge beating with her double tap or do they go after Vessery and let Quickdraw survive into the endgame where she thrives, or go after the tough to kill x7 while Vessery and Quickdraw are hounding them?

The only downside here could be the Delta being able to get the TL on the initial engagement since it'll likely move first. On the other hand, you could take The Inquisitor with PTL, AT, and Title for 31 points. That gives you three things shooting, and moving, at PS8. Inq is almost always taking a TL so Vessery is good, and then your other two ships shoot right after him on the, hopefully, tractor beamed target.

Just some food for thought. :)

I definitely appreciate the input.

I'm kinda leery about taking anything with a 2 dice primary anymore (though technically Inq has a 3 primary) just because they don't have that range 1 spike damage I'm looking for.

At the Regionals I went to Inq couldn't put a scratch on X7 Defenders just because 3 dice wasn't enough.

Plus I'm looking for stuff that's relatively stress resistant, both Quickdraw and Vessery couldn't care less if they get stressed, and the delta only loses his evade token, hence the Twin Ion Engine upgrade on him.
