Will we see the heavy bombers in a future wave?

Who thinks we will see the heavy bombers of Tie Punishers and K wings?  If so what do you think the stats and key words will be?

Mine 

Tie Punisher: speed 4 hull 8 keyword bomber heavy, 2 black anti squad 2 black anti ship.  Ace name to be determined same stat line and key words special ability may attack twice.

K wing: speed 2 hull 8 bomber heavy slam 1 (after moving instead of attacking may move up to speed 1) 2 as dice 2 black anti squad dice.  Ace name to be determined same stats and slam 2 (after moving instead of attacking may move up to speed 2)

Double black bombers?  Attacking twice with a double black bomber?  Those are both things that really don't need to be around, unless exceptionally expensive. 

 

Keep in mind we also have Jendon, so that could be 3 attacks, 6 black bomber dice, in 2 activations.  I'd expect to toss 35-40 pts on a speed 4 8 hull double black bomber that can attack twice.  Makes Morna Kee look like a gnat.  Everything added needs to take into account whats already out there, it is a concept called design space and it is alive and well.

You can get that already with yavaris Keyan.

 

...  It just can't Synergy with Rhymer and has to not move...  I note the above doesn't have a "If it doesn't move..." restriction - which, again, is kind of irrelevant when you are bombing at Medium Range.

okay may attack twice but can't attack the next round.

Keyan is double black?  Honestly forgot, although we've had a tonne of B wing players, I can't say he makes it to the table much.  At least thats not 4 speed 8 hull.

Yep.  Double Black.  Built in Reroll if he's not hitting shields.

But he's 20-points for that Reroll on a B-Wing Frame...

AND he's unique.  So its not something you're doing across the board...  But he's still not cheap.

Yeah he was generally regarded as having a useless ability (maybe works 1-2 times in a game), moves slow, has kill me painted on him, etc.  But yes, unique is a factor, 1 is likely OK, a fleet though, good lord.

I included Keyan in a Reeikan aces list with Adar Tallon, Yavarris and Norra.  I've had him do 11 damage in single turns multiple times.  Feel like people really underestimate that guy...or estimate him properly, but can't kill him through the zombie, damage sharing escorts...either way.  If you have ways to multiply individual squadrons (Adar Tallon, Yavaris), his base damage is the same as equivalent points in Y-Wings, but amplifies very quickly.

 

I feel like as long as Adar Tallon and Yavaris continue to exist in thier current forms, double black non-uniques aren't going to happen for rebels...and as long as Rhymer exists in his current form, will not happen for imps.

I expect them to be Hull 6 maybe 7 tops though I don't think a K-wing is as durable as a YT-1300 so Hull 6 sounds right. 

K-wing 

6-7 Hull, Speed 2, 3 Red Battery, 2 Blue 1 Black AS 

Bomber, Heavy, Accurate Bombing 

Accurate Bombing: All Battery Attacks count as having an Accuracy for that attack. 

20 points. 

 

Ace:

6-7 Hull, Speed 2, 1 Red 1 Blue 1 Black Battery, 1 Blue 2 Black AS 

Special: A Defending Ship may only spend 1 defense token during the Spend Defense Token Step. 

Bomber, Heavy, Accurate Bombing 

25 points

I don't need them soon but I would like to see K-Wings at some point. I hated them in X-Wing since they were first previewed but I've come around in them and love them now. 

I figure I'll probably fly Imperials more than Rebels in Armada, so Punishers would be nice too, but only if they are actually hard-hitting and worth using, rather than how they were released in X-Wing.
