Are you happy with your SoR Box pulls?

Hi,

I picked up 2 sealed boxes. 

Upon opening all boosters I have 10-12 duplicate rares, and is some cases 4 of a card!

While Awakenings had a bit of duplication and each box was guaranteed to dish up one Rey's staff and 1 BB8, it seems the new set is taking that to the next level.

A few others in my area have found the same thing.

Is it just us, or are you also finding not enough spread in your box?

I found these boxes had much more spread thank Awakenings.  I only got like 1 duplicate rare per box, and I ended up with almost a complete playset of commons/uncommons from just 2 boxes.

I really like the distribution in this set with my 2 boxes I got a good spread of legendaries, decent rares almost 2 of each uncommon and 2 of each common. 

My awakenings 4  boxes there was 3 uncommon cards that I got none of, I never pulled a Vader or Black One and there was 2 or 3 rares I got none of. 

But the best thing of all there was no starter rares that just wasted booster pulls from me. In my awakenings boxes I had anywhere from 1 to 8 per box.

This was my experience as well.  I had my 1 box and 9 boosters worth of cards all sorted out last night and found I have a great spread of cards.  Sets where I wanted them and rarely did I have 3 or 4 of the same card.

4 ****ing Blackmails (and I pulled one at pre-release, so now have 5). I actually asked before opening them whether you could get duplicate Legendaries in a box and didn't think you could, but yep. Apparently you can. And it is the kind of thing that crushes a man's soul.

And then I heart of the cards my second Chewie on the last Legendary pack, which was the one Legendary I really cared about. So from the ashes of defeat came victory. Also got some other nice stuff, so mostly good with some really random back luck. Would have been pissed without the second Chewie though.

As for distribution, it's all random. I didn't pull more than 3 of any rare in those 3 boxes, and got a large amount of playsets. In Awakenings both me and a friend got a truly ridiculous amount of Leia's between us, like 10+. The sample size people are looking at means you're never going to get a real idea of the randomness.

5 Blackmails, 5 Missile Launchers, 4 Force Lightening, 4 U-Wings, 5 Obi-Wan.  2 Blackmails came in the same box. Another guy in out group was the happy owner of 5 Chewbacca's.

Yet 1 Outer Rim Smuggler.

So the Rare cards seemed to be highly random, but those legendary cards  were far less random.

It's also worth remembering that there isn't a corresponding starter set for this release -- part of what made unboxing Awakenings so frustrating was pulling 7-8 rares that you already had from the starter box. Without that overlap, it likely feels like folks are getting more new stuff.

Where I actually found the distribution interesting wasn't the duplicates in a single box as I only picked up a single box + 3 extra boosters yesterday myself.  It was in that in the three 3 extra boosters, the packs were IDENTICAL to 3 of the packs in my first box,  from the dice cards (my third Baze and seconds of Force Push and Mon Mothma) to the other 4 cards in each booster.

I don't know if there is a thing called "common run" in Destiny as in Magic a few years ago (nowadays there is no such thing anymore).

I doubt it but it isn't impossible.

We found that if you get a booster case (6 booster boxs) all cards are equally distributed in numbers.

Not to torture you, but I got all 3 of those in my box, but I don't online trade.  Or I totally would.

my box had 2 double rares, got almost all commons and 1 of most uncommon. Only a couple triple commons.  13 characters all different.  So no elites for me.

Yeah, my pulls seem fair so far! I'm happy! Way too many flipping Royal Guards and Jedi Interceptors though...

Three sealed boxes, 3 bowcasters, 2 slave one, 2 Maz's Goggles, 4 Unkar Plutt, 4 Luminara, 4 Ascension Gun, 4 A180 Blaster. Those are among the most disappointing interms of, I don't need 4 of each. Didn't get a Force Lightning or Force Speed (no force speed between me with 3 boxes and a friend with 2) and the biggest disappointment was I didn't pull a single FN-2199. Buddy got 2 out of his 2 boxes. Overall though, I've got almost a complete set besides a few legendary and rares. So over all good I'd say. Time to trade and buy singles.

My distribution was really good. I got two boxes and only got an extra A180, 2 extra E-Web's, 1 Luminara, and 1 extra Supply Line. I have a few more extras including a Palpatine and Chewie, But that's from pre-release and 5 extra boosters.

I noticed multiple of the same Legendary out of a single box. Happened to me twice (both times Quadjumper). 

I opened a ton of Awakenings and didn't see that happen once. I would much prefer if they could make all Legendaries unique per box.

Unless they're Force Speed, Palpatine, or Chewbacca, in which case I'll take as many as I can get!

Wanted to answer the original question: yes, I'm happy with the rares and legendaries, but the commons and uncommons seem to have a lot of duplicates. I won't know for sure until I sort them all out, but I'm pretty sure I'm missing a few of the uncommons, and I think I have about 4 each of the ones I do have. Again though, I'll have to double-check. I think I might have two of each when I add in the ten packs I bought today.

Purchased one box, All I wanted was Obi-Wan, Jyn, and Chewie.

I received Jyn and Chewie, and the Bowcaster so all in all I was happy with my box. 

Also got a couple legendary's that I can hopefully trade.

So all in all I am happy with what I received.

On the 4th I was only able to get 3 packs, all i could afford, being a broke college student. However, I pulled Palpatine, Chewbaca, and a Death Trooper. I traded the trooper for Force Push. Then I traded an Astro mech droid for Force heal.

Really pleased with my single box actually, in the grand scheme of things.

 

Chewie, Baze, Krennic, Force Speed, Bowcaster and Slave 1. 

 

Picked up only a few multiple rares, but they were things like FN-2199, which is really good.  Very few cards I didn't like to see., got the dice to double up my Baze, Chewie and Chirrut from pre-release. Managed to trade for a second vibroknife.

 

From when I started planning stuff, literally the only card I really want no is my second Force Speed, so yeah, my luck continues to hold.

I still haven't been able to find a single booster pack
