May the fourth be with you

I'm inordinately elated that today is also National Day of Prayer, so when I say "May the 4th be with you," I expect that my completionist mentality and Presbyterian upbringing should be assuaged with the response of "And also with you."

Working all day and volunteering tonight, but I can play the Rogue One soundtrack quietly in the background as I begin teaching Beowulf... Hmm, perhaps I should strike that & reverse it - though I'd have to replace Beowulf with 13th Warrior:P

I found another one!! I always say this.

I suggest you start teaching Beowulf a la Tolkien and burst into your lecture hall and begin declaiming it in Old English.

Darn that is respectable time! I have been playing GURPS close to 25yr but so many different campains. Sw has been by far my favorite!

Oh, not all 25 years were SW.  We have played heroic fantasy, dark fantasy (everyone got to be "evil" races), road warrior, pyrates (with supernatural elements), WWII, Indiana Jones, Traveller, and "You Are You" modern horror.

I still want to do a post-apocalyptic Road Warrior meets Planet of the Apes meets Terminator campaign.

I fully believe in making the "G" "U" part of the system pull it's weight. ;)

You know thay there is GRPS Fallout book, unofficial but you might get some inspiration from your upcoming campain. We are doing Fallout campaing on the side whem whole group cant attend.

I have been looking to make campain on X-Wing. Taking structure from Necromunda and trying to bend it to fit on X-Wing with skirmish style. Buy upgrades, get illegal goodies from outer rim. System for injuring after wards of battle etc. I waited ffg to do something like this..

Try to convince the wife to finally watch Rogue One.  She's been holding out, worried that it can't compete with the hype.

Im glad that my wife supports my Star Wars geeking.. She even wants to learn x-wing one day

Have you seen the full script for the ol' "And also with you" exchange? Something along the lines of "Lift up your lightsabers. // We lift them up to the Jedi."

I only spoke Old English for the first 10-15 minutes of class, greeting them at the door, and then gave them a blank stare when they had Deer-in-the-headlights eyes as I repeatedly asked them "Hwaet waes god cyning??!"

I read this and felt really bad for the kid in the costume. The hyper paranoia and immediate rush to be protected by " big daddy government" is really sad and sais awful things for the future.

The fact that there are so many people who are so stupid and lack the basic ability to tell a child's costume shirt from a bullet proof vest is kind of heartbreaking.

And to cause all this completely unnecessary commotion over it could leave the kid traumatized.

No, but Google revealed something along those lines. (A new take on people putting 'Jedi' on their censuses!)

I wish I could have seen your class!

Took half a day off, watched Ep4-7 again while trying out the Battlestar Gozanti (Pallas) Campaign (HotAC Variation by I think @Stefan ? Not Sure if I mix people up though). Took some pictures of me flying in the campaign, hopefully can come around to post some here about the 3 missions I played.

The 4th will be with you. Always.
