davepaulstanley 46 Posted May 3, 2017 I am using decals from ginfritter.com. They have tons to choose from and really good customer service. I thought I would post some other pics of my progress so far, too. I should be totally finished painting both armies by tomorrow. Then I can start playing the game! Hah! (I never play games until I'm done painting. It helps keep me motivated. Hopefully I'll enjoy the game! Hehe...) 6 Xargonaut, Adun42, jonboyjon1990 and 3 others reacted to this
Darthain 1,747 Posted May 4, 2017 Were those decals on clear or white paper? They stand out pretty well. I'd ideally like to not have to trim dilligently/paint clean around decals if I go that route.
davepaulstanley 46 Posted May 4, 2017 I cut each one individually out of the decal sheet with an exacto hobby knife. The printed part is set against a clear translucent sheet so that the only thing you see is the white printed emblem. On some, after I placed the decal on the shield, I would have to paint a bit over the translucent edge because it showed up a tiny bit - but nothing very noticeable at all. And, really, I didn't have to do that. I was just being picky.
Vineheart01 6,403 Posted May 4, 2017 I need to browse that website to see if i can find any decals i like. Those shields need decals, and im way too shakey to freehand such detailed icons. Though since theyre all flat i might try cutting out a template to lay over the shield.
davepaulstanley 46 Posted May 4, 2017 Ginfritter.com like I mentioned has some really cool decals like a griffon, a dragon, swords crossed, and other cool ones. So yeah, check it out! :-)
