I preordered super late, so I didn't get my box today (I'll have to wait a few weeks) so I went in and bought another. I considered asking someone else to go in there and buy another one for me, but I figure it's actually more fun not to buy it all at once - there is meant to be a "trading" aspect to a trading card game, in my opinion - I like to savor the experience! I pulled 2x Chirrut Imwe, which was all I really wanted anyway!

Oh I'm nothing but patient, as i say; my buying this game is 100% dependent on there physically being boosters by the till when I'm at my local shop.

 

I've got a mate who got into Pokemon recently - they've got it at Morrisons(thats a grocery store for the yanks out there), he fancied scratching his ccg itch, there it was.

 

If Destiny ever gets to that level I'll be happy.

Won't we all. FFG has had x-wing product in Target and Barnes & Noble in the past. I don't know if they still do as I don't get to those stores often.

Barnes and Noble yes, Target have never seen anything but core sets and not since force awakens launched. Destiny can't begin to produce enough for targets needs but I think Destiny has a better shot at being big box fodder. X wing is game store only almost which makes sense it's a much steeper impulse buy and you can easily achieve saturation with what you want/need. Unless I have credit somewhere I will buy X wing like once a month.

so far the FFG statement isn't holding up, our store will receive 6 next week meaning thats 18 over 3 weeks. to make a decent deck you need 2 boxes maybe 3, thats only 6 players.This game will die a slow death at this pace.

If you in the EU we have plenty of stock about and another wave coming in.  Our Store ordered 120 and got 120.  We only sold 30 so far as everyone has stock and in fact slashing prices because of it.  Not sure what happened exactly over in the US.

There is a lot of people in the US that buy up products and relist them on ebay for higher prices. That is basically their job. I just saw a box in barns and noble a few days ago. So there is product around that has yet to get snatched up.

My FLGS just ran out yesterday, so their stock lasted two weeks from wave one.  I know they only got a fraction of what they ordered, but I don't know how much they may receive in wave two.

All of the stores in my area are getting significantly more product this wave, so I wouldn't worry too much guys! Also, there are at least 5 stores within 50 miles of me with product still on shelves from the first wave. This is definitely an improvement over awakenings!

I'm not a store owner, but I do get to travel a bit across the region and have heard a few things from store owners.  So...secondhand info, but:

1.  One store said they ordered 3 additional boxes (hardly any SW:D play in area, so ordering on demand for few that play) and was told by distributor that they should have gotten it in last Tuesday...but supply dried up so it might take 1-3 weeks to arrive.

2.  Another store saying they ordered 6 boxes for wave2 and they would get all of them...only to be told that was a warehouse error and now they might get 1 box, if they are lucky.  

Now, other stores in my region have 4-8 boxes sitting on the shelf and doing just fine from Wave1.  So, I think the mileage varies greatly and I'm not sure what the magic bullet is.  It is just crazy to me how varied it is across the state, since I would assume these places use similar distributors for the same basic region.  I know it likely comes down to other items too (size of store, sales, longevity of business, etc.), but it really is hit or miss right now.  Add in that some store owners have been talking about how "their supply is getting taken over by Barnes and Noble stores" and you have another communication nightmare in the works.  I personally am good (was fortunate enough to get 2-3 boxes of content and trade for most things from SoR...), but I am finding it VERY difficult to get additional people into the game when I can't just point to a local store and say, "go get it there."  Because I can't consistently yet.  So...not introducing others to game.  Just hoping all this will get resolved in June, as they have stated.

I have some stores in my area that are relatively close to one another. We will compare for this example two stores. One has no stock hasn't since the May 4th boxes they got in. They sold out on May 5th and haven't gotten more in said they were shorted three boxes. They were going to sell over counter but they were not spoken for if I wanted to reserve and that should be arriving on the 25th of May.

The other store which is less than 30 minutes up the road has boxes that I can walk in and purchase today. They have had boxes since May 4th and said they had plenty in the back when I asked if they had any since the one on the counter was getting empty just yesterday.

This second store with stock is a big store that moves tons of product monthly the other store without stock is a small sole proprietor situation. Now I know this is a relatively small sample size and maybe it is irrelevant but just found that interesting. There is no shortage of product here but luckily I have that store nearby, because if they weren't, I'm afraid the distribution might be closer to what some are experiencing.

In my area, we got wave 1 in, by day 1.5 all 5 stores within 50mi sold out. B&N got a bunch, again 5 or so stores, gone within 2 days. It is very much a regional/Distro issue. Most stores here buy from multiple places and still got very little of the orders. I pre ordered around 5 boxes from 3 stores hoping to get 2. I got 1 and we will see if I get 1 more for wave 2.

I got my SOR fix I need some awakenings. If the distribution for it's re release locally matches up with this second batch of SOR I will be ecstatic.

My store limited it to 5 boosters a day per person and did just fine. They had some people from out of town come in and they were told the same thing.

It's been working fine,  and doesn't  allow people to come in and buy up all their stock.

Yes, store around me did this for Awakens and SOR and it helped spread the stock around to more players. I think store that do this are good, as long as they stay MSRP, but I also understand if stores don't and sell to first come first serve.

Anyone have any idea where the SOR 2nd wave product is?  May 25 has come and gone and my LFGS still has nothing nor does the 4-5 sites I typically check.  I'd like to land a couple boxes without paying inflated ebay prices.

My store received there's yesterday.  So the product is out there.

Just a small update.  For this wave my store received less than the previous wave.  Last wave we got 8 boxes.  This wave we got 3 boxes.

Another store which got 10+ boxes during the first wave, this wave only 5 boxes showed up as of yesterday.

My FLGS recieved about a third of what it got last wave.  They're blaming Barnes & Noble for the diverision of product.
