Destiny 2017 World Championship Results

This thread will be updated with results of the 2017 World Championship for Star Wars: Destiny that is located at the Fantasy Flight Games Center.

Tournament Details:

Day 1A

Players can participate in only Day 1A OR Day 1B, not both.

Day: Thursday, May 4th

Location: Fantasy Flight Games Center

Check-In: 1:00 - 1:30 PM

Start Time: 2:00 PM

Required Components: 1 legal, sleeved deck, a completed deck list, dice, and tokens

Swiss Rounds: 6 rounds

Round Length: 35 minutes

Break: 1-Hour break after Round 4

Leaderboard Posted: After Rounds 4, 5, and 6

Size of Cut: Up to 27 players will advance from Day 1A to Day 2

Report to Games Center Tournament HQ by 10:30 AM Saturday, May 6th

 

Day 1B

Players can participate in only Day 1A OR Day 1B, not both.

Day: Friday, May 5th

Location: Fantasy Flight Games Center

Check-In: 1:00 - 1:30 PM

Start Time: 2:00 PM

Required Components: 1 legal, sleeved deck, a completed deck list, dice, and tokens

Swiss Rounds: 6 rounds

Round Length: 35 minutes

Break: 1-Hour break after Round 4

Leaderboard Posted: After Rounds 4, 5, and 6

Size of Cut: Up to 27 players will advance from Day 1B to Day 2

Report to Games Center Tournament HQ by 10:30 AM Saturday, May 6th

 

Day 2

Players must have qualified for Day 2 during Day 1A or Day 1B of the STAR WARS™: Destiny World Championship. Players retain their tournament points, but Strength of Schedule tiebreakers will be reset.

Day: Saturday, May 6th

Location: Fantasy Flight Games Center

Check-In: 10:00 - 10:30 AM

Start Time: 11:00 AM

Required Components: The same legal, sleeved deck used on Day 1A or Day 1B, dice, and tokens

Swiss Rounds: 3 rounds

Round Length: 35 minutes

Leaderboard Posted: After each round

Size of Cut: The top 16 players will advance to Elimination Rounds

Report to Games Center Tournament HQ by 2:00 PM Saturday, May 6th

 

Top 16 Elimination Rounds

Day: Saturday, May 6th

Location: Fantasy Flight Games Center

Check-In: 2:00 PM

Start Time: 2:30 PM

Elimination Rounds: 16-player, best-2-out-of-3 elimination bracket

Round Length: 90 minutes (120 minutes for Final Match)

Prior to each game, each player will be provided with his or her opponent’s deck list for a short review. Deck lists will not be available for reference during the game.

Yes it ended yesterday.

Daniel Weiser became the first ever World Champion by playing his unique version of eVader/raider.

Sorry again for the delay everyone.  The top 16 information is now mostly up.  I have the character and archetypes to add to each player but if anyone can supply decklists that would be amazing.  

I will continue to work on this until I have at least everyone who made day two on the list.

Please provide any decklists, questions to me and let me know of any errors that occur as well.
