Loses an activation, has an eh red objective. Not too bad. Blast doors are interesting.

Most Wanted was more a force of habit than anything else! :D I'm not keen on running Precision Strike at the moment as the guys around me are running bomber heavy fleets at the moment. I did think about Advanced Gunnery, but it can give such an advantage to the second player as well... Hmm .

The loss of activation is a concern, though five activations seems about average around these parts. How important is that sixth activation Lyraeus? I've also seen some pretty impressive points bids here (21pts at one tournament recently), hence the high bid. I'm assuming this type of list struggles going second.

Valid point. I have not played in a tournament in a while so I am not sure what the bids look like. The 6th activation is just an extra assurance and as second player lets you set up proper moves. It makes it hard for a 5 ships,  1st player list to guess your last 2 activations position which can easily be those MC30s

Precision Strike is a gamble but how much hull do you actually have? Remember that they have to lose a Hit to do this and for a Black Die Bomber that can mean its Hit Crit. If they are spending damage to flip cards they are not hurting you as badly.

Now the conundrum. What doesn't the second part hurt us D+O players? Well becuase we can guarantee crits to make cards flip face up. On top of that we can control what crits ships get so tactically, it can be better to flip a card at times. Then there is APT's which is an auto 15 points on activation and you. Can get 15 points from a flip so 30 possible for each MC30s Black die range attacks

And this is why I need to spend more time thinking about objectives when I'm building lists. I just saw the word bomber and immediately discounted it without fully reading and understanding the implications. As for the implications for APT's, I can't believe I actually missed that!

I also like the idea of the 'insurance' of a sixth activation if I am going second... Hmm. Maybe it's time to finally go full naked on the squadron front! :D

You learn the objectives best while playing them. I picked Precision Strike originally because of 30 points per MC30 a turn potential. The rest I picked up as I played.

I must admit I've been playing the 'holy trinity' of objectives (PS, FA and SP) as I've been flying bomber heavy lists myself the last couple of months. I agree though, it's not until you play an objective you really find out what it can do... Or you can be lazy and just ask more experienced players for advice! ;):D

True you can ask but your results will vary.
