Alchemical Problems OCC

Recommended Posts

Since we are nearing the start of episode 2, let's do a roll call of those still participating.

After a week, whoever is missing we'll open those slots up for recruitment.

Thanks to everyone for telling a great story.

If anyone wants to pm then and link this thread feel free!!

For whatever open spots we end up having, I was thinking we should recruit like its a job posting! Like we just got solidified as a proper team and we just found out we got something way bigger and dangerous then we thought, so we are looking for specialists to join our teaim of "fixers".

What do people think if that idea? And what roles do you think we could use?

I'd like to see these kinds of careers:

1) archaeologist

2) skiptracer

3) scientist with a strong knowledge in lore, outer rim etc.

4) survivalist/trailblazer wilderness guide

any other ideas?

I think we should just let people know the holes in our party, and then accept any applicants that seem high quality. I'd rather get a great player than an exact specialization. Here is the stuff we are good at:

I think that leaves room for someone who really excels at Astrogation, Coordination, Gunnery, Knowledge, and Survival (though some of us are pretty good at a few of those). We also don't have anybody with beyond a 3 in Cunning, Agility, Brawn or Presence, though several of us are pretty good at some of those, and its also always fine to have overlap in agility/brawn.

Crew-wise, I'm feeling pretty lonely on the non-FS side, so I'd opt for that unless somebody really wanted it. All of your suggestions would make good additions.

Agreed on FS, and I think we'll probably all go with what sounds best in the end... I'm just thinking if I had a business dealing with crazy stuff, I'd probably want specialists on in different subjects or skills sets right? I don't think it much matters if that's skills, spec or characteristics...

I just like the idea of a job posting...

Like:

Seeking skilled applicant for entry level position. Ample room for advancement. Equal opportunity employer.

Main duties and necessary areas of expertise include but are not limited to: deciphering cryptic runes and sith alchemical formulas, developing proper disposal procedures for abomination removal, cave exploitation and splunking, exo-biology and crypto-zoology.p

Desired addition skills and expertise: psychoanalysis of darkside influenced psyches, artifact analysis and identification, exo-anthropology, crypto-anthropology, linguistic specialist, culinary and house keeping skills.

Must have appropriate tools and equipment.

Must be willing to work in discomfort, extreme weather and hazardous conditions.

Is this party accepting applications? I have an archaeologist in mind, who could have caving experience (I have caving experience), as well as a solid Intelligence/ Knowledge skill base.

We are just 159Xp, 9k credits oh and any custom races should go through me.

Make sure you put your Caving experience on Survival or something similar.

Pm me if you need anything.

I'm probably going to be busy the 14-17th April So expect a little delay

Should I narrate my approach from orbit, or could I have already landed surreptitiously nearby? (If so, might I have been the "lone humanoid figure" detected scouring the Hutt ruins previously)?

I apologize if my entrance is more awkward than the flush and flourish of the Kel Dor, but this is my first real game here, and I'm still getting used to the idea of introducing new story elements as a PC.

If you like, honestly its up to you. No worries just get a feel for the game, it's fairly soft RP until Monday anyway when E2 will start.

@Edgehawk cool character! She would make a great nemesis for one of my PCs in my in-person game (a Jedi apprentice who's obligation to her deceased master is to ensure that force-relics and jedi knowledge don't fall into the hands of collectors, or worse, Sith.

FYI to everybody I maintain a character reference to keep track of the cast. Feel free to use it here.
