Drasnighta 26,573 Posted March 31, 2017 That entirely depends. I mean, its an okay list... Intel Officers work if you're confident in making them spend the token regardless (as you have to declare it before you do any Dice Modifications). Its just a shame. You could go all out and look at things like Intel+NK-7s on CR-Bs. They'd be pretty ludicrous with Confires, for example... It probably degrades from the list overall, but it plays into the theme more. 2 RogueCommander and GiledPallaeon reacted to this

I might switch to Mothma for some damage mitigation. other than pulling face up cards randomly that do it (which is why I had Dodonna originally), are there any other Rebel token stripping tricks you can think of? Parkdaddy 626 Posted March 31, 2017 Well TRCs are pretty good at stripping your own tokens... but I always viewed Nym as the bomber you want to pair with a heavy hitting big ship. Taking away a brace is a lot less effective against a small dice pool than it is against a large one. An Ackbar Pickle getting a shot off round 3 when the enemy has no brace would be ridiculous. But for a flighty fleet, a Christmas tree Lib's front arc would probably be better. Also, your bid is huge, and your ships are fragile, though your points most definitely are very spread out. Fragility is ok with Rieekan, but even then you're only getting 3 shooting ships with small dice pools. Any large ship with gunnery teams and decent deployment will be a struggle for you. And a serious bomber/fighter wing will largely shut you down, or at the absolute least (if you can manage to activate those Xs with Yavaaris first) delay your own bomber strategy for a couple turns. And I'd venture to say that your bomber wing constitutes just over half of your anti-ship firepower, more when you consider Yavaaris/Adar. 1 RogueCommander reacted to this
RogueCommander 236 Posted March 31, 2017 All great points. Thanks! the bid is more just left over points that I had to play with for different ideas, which you have given me. The fragility is a real thing for sure, and though I usually do okay with fragile fleets, I may look at a guppy or an MC80 layout as well.
Parkdaddy 626 Posted April 1, 2017 And fragile fleets are certainly viable. They just prefer to have some sort of back-up plan, like Rieekan or Mothma. I tend to use Rieekan as a crutch for my fragile fleets, and it works pretty darn well 1 GiledPallaeon reacted to this
Drakkars 30 Posted April 1, 2017 I've had alot of fun with a Nym, yavaris, double Pelta list recently. Nyms a monster as long as you manage to get those crits (I stripped an ISD of all tokens by turn 3 I think one game, killed it right after). Ships are definitely fragile which is a big problem though so you need to fly them really well or have an alternate big threat to distract them
