Fun was had, and Star Destroyers were lost to mistakes I should know better than to make. Definitely looking forward to the summer tournament and an upcoming store championship around my area. I may end up bringing the Mark 2 of this fleet.

We played my Capture the VIP.

 

The obstacles were deployed in a ball on the center left of the setup zone. Matt deployed his pair of gozanti in the corner behind the obstacles, flanked by his Needa Arquiten and both Gladiators. I deployed Bright Hope, Jaina's Light, and my comms net flotilla slightly to the right of the obstacles diagonally from the corner. I put Admo on the outside right to chase the pack from behind and put the Liberty on my left side corner to go head on with the Empire ships. Matt came out slower than I thought he would as first player, and I decided to play to my aggressive nature and let the Liberty loose down the left edge of the board at speed 3+ET. I also sent Jaina into the middle of the asteroid field to hide and take pot shots. Admo fired up his engines and came out at speed 4 to get into the fight. The Liberty was able to one shot Matt's Vector gozanti on turn 2 and also took a long range shot on one of Matt's Glads. In turn 3, it was Ozzel's gozanti who fell to the Libertys blue range shot. My comms net flotilla who had been trailing the main group passing out tokens, decided to pick up the VIP token since everyone else left it as they passed by and it raced off into the sunset at speed 3 happy to have the objective locked up. Up to this point I should also point out that neither players squads were interested in shooting at each other and all concentrated on shooting at ships instead. In turn 4 I sent both Tycho/Shara over to tie up Soontir Fel's Flying Circus as Matt's squads were beginning to put some damage through to the Liberty on its weak right shield zone. The Liberty still flying around the board at speed 3 was able to break free of the pack and used a couple of well timed Engineering commands + Raymus tokens to get rid of a shield prevention crit and raise some shields. After Matt decided to turn his Glads hard to the right near the board edge to follow the Liberty, I decided to send everyone at Matt's Arquiten who was running away at the bottom of the board. Admonition was able to finish off the Arquiten with a double blue dice broadside hit to the rear which went straight to the hull. Matt was unable to keep Demolisher on the board due to a mistimed concentrated fire command on the turn before.

Overall, Matt was a great guy and I had a blast chatting away with him while we played the game. I hope he had as much fun as I did. Great game!

Pretty close at the top, but Cpt. Weather has a realy solid lead. Dorrin needs at least a 9-2 win to push him down from the top spot.

Udeadguy or ryanabt can also manage to snap the top spot, IF they win big AND the weather/dorrin match goes favorably.

Great game Dorrin, and it was really nice to actually have voice chat kicking along.

8 is not enough. He need at least a 9-2. A 8-3 with max MOV of 219 would mean he has 440 and you have 441. So he will need a real 9-2 to be second.

But if Undeadguy means with "top" the top4 (for the earlier cut), an averge of 7-7.5 would have been easy enough to get into the top 4.

I meant it more as taking "average wins" and easily taking top 4. So yea, what you said.
