The Auzituck Gunship should have a hull value of 0.15

Your first mistake is assuming that space wood cannot be harder than earth wood.

*face palm*

A discussion such as this taken seriously would be as dumb as those discussions that take place trying to explain how star wars star fighters maneuver in space as if their purely fictional "space" has any set standard comparable to our universes space.

In other words... I'm aware.

Interior. Not hull..

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Auzituck_anti-slaver_gunship: "The interiors were made from wroshyr trees, with sap serving as glue."

It's also from SW:Rebels, not the Holiday Special.

So basically any G forces and inertial changes what so ever and the interior is simply pulp.  But the exterior will live on ...

That must be some really, REALLY strong sap.

Tonle Sap, to be exact. Auzituck looks like a Giant Mekong catfish as well.

You said "Space Wood" & "Earth Wood" :D

Sorry, my inner 12 year old is acting up again. :)

There are stronger woods here on earth. There's one from South America, I think, that will dull carbide saw blades. Where it grows, the soil has a very high silica content which causes the wood to be ridiculously hard on saws.

Iron Wood from Australia is supposed to be the strongest wood on earth.

You are forgetting about the force. It's what holds the Wookie Spaceship together.

Of course it would not work with wood only! :)

Perhaps the sap is covered all over the ship which helps it from the laser blasts. These aren't bullets. Maybe the sap absorbs the blast a bit better than that weak titanium stuff mens razors are made of.

Pretty sure that wood is on record resisting some degree of turbolaser bombardment, there is no thing on earth even remotely comparable.

Yeah, we don't even have turbolasers to shoot at our wood.

Star Wars has inertial damping and artificial gravity...

Sure, and if we are going to be nit picky about it, inertial damping is just that ... damping.  Doesn't mean that it eliminates all inertial forces ... it just lessens them for the pilot to survive some of the moves made ... initiate a severe enough move where the dampeners don't compensate correctly and ... SPLAT.  Now the pilot is swimming in pulp ... or is pulp ... or both ... :P

Nope.  Ships have inertial compensators for the interior.  Otherwise, Han would be pulp every time he made the jump to hyperspace or pulled a few maneuvers.

Ack.

It is actually a narcotic, so yeah you can eat it and get high.

Tyler Durden: Oxygen gets you high. In a catastrophic emergency, you're taking giant panicked breaths. Suddenly you become euphoric, docile. You accept your fate. It's all right here. Emergency water landing - 600 miles an hour. Blank faces, calm as Hindu cows.

Apparently, Wookiees use gum.
