Converting Dark Heresy Material to Rogue Trader

While reading Rogue Trader I kept seeing references to Dark Heresy rules and themes. I wanted to know what, if any Rogue Trader rules exist for translating Dark Heresy material to the Rogue Trader rule set? I figure that since there is already a ton of Dark Heresy supplements out there, theres no need to reinvent the wheel! 

For Example*:
1. Can I use Dark Heresy Careers (Assassins, Imperial Psykers, etc.) 
2. Weapons and Armor
3. Talents/Skills
4. Aliens and Monsters
* (I’ve seen the rules for converting physic powers)

Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions or can point me to some official source for conversion or known conflicts between the games, let me know. Thanks

1 - Yes. Just give them access to the profit factor and the same starting xp* and everything should be roughly balanced until they hit the end of rank 8. If you take a psyker, you could try converting the powers or just leave them as is.

 

*Remember that the origin path eats up 4'500 xp for the RT classes.

 

2 - Yes.

3 - Most of them will work.

4 - Yes. You will probably want more of them than you would send at a Dark Heresy party.

I agree, except for the part in bold. The Origin Path doesn't eat up 4500xp. Over half of that XP (I believe about 2600xp) is eaten up by the extra +5 to each characteristic that RT characters have over RT characters (RT = 25+2d10 DH = 20+2d10). The best method to use DH characters in RT would be to give them the extra +5 in each characteristic, and use the Origin Path for the DH character (since the Origin Path still works with them), giving them their 500xp to spend at the end (like RT characters), and starting them off at Rank 1 (though it would be Rank 2, since you've already spent 500xp).

Alternatively (though I believe the Origin Path method would make it more equal), you could give them the +5 in each characteristic, and then give them about 2400xp (to bring them up to the 5000xp RT character start with) to spend, not counting the +5 characteristic bonuses as XP expendatures, meaning that the equivilent DH character would be near the beginning of Rank 4.

Also, in order for them to level up equally, DH characters (since their XP expedatures are half that of RT characters) should be given half the XP RT character are, otherwise they reach the end of their career path by the time RT characters are only half-way through theirs.
