An old looking Zabrak is now standing in the entryway of the temple...

He's dressed oddly, as if someone had to improvise Jedi robes from scrap. He doesn't Cary a lightsaber but a Vibrosword, attached to his belt... he says nothing, but rests himself against the doorway..

He does have the look of a Jedi but no lightsaber. I have heard of those who like to think they are Jedi and try to look like them.

"Who may you be ?"

 So what is....

He pauses for effect giving her a critical look over.

Awful cocky for an academic... If that's what she is. Then again what "academic" works for Zando.

...Your area of expertise?

He waits for an answer, then continues.

So Zando has you waltzing in at the end for what? You got our money... Checking up on us... What... Hmmm...?!?

Astrid. I'm an Archaeologist, and very much afraid my "waltzing in at the end" has just been trumped by the Curator, who has volunteered to be our tour guide (extends whichever hand will be met by an organic hand in return). I'll still be happy to tour the temple with you.

Shall we?

Approaching the entryway, she addresses the Curator:

Please. Tell me of your museum, while we walk. My research hinted that some items of note might remain at the site, but I never dreamt it would be anything substantial enough to warrant a museum, with a dedicated curator? How long have you attended to the site?

"Walking? No, I should think not. My speeder can carry four of us. For the fifth, I'm sure we can borrow a spare bike or speeder from one of the townsfolk."

Quote

Does Cletus have a speeder or bike we could borrow, or is there one that we can borrow or rent from the town? Surely there are a lot of unclaimed speeders given that half the population is suddenly dead, right? Any that we can break into without an issue?

Turning to the Kel Dor, then the elder Zabrak: I'm sorry- I don't think I caught either of your names?

Then, to the Curator:

I would very much appreciate an opportunity to consult with you. I also delve into the trappings of history. I'm more of a Procurator, if you will, though I don't believe that's actually a proper word in this context.

I took it your already at the ruins via a couple of speeders borrowed from the town, they probably would give you them anywaty as thanks.

The man says  "Come come, Addmition is free...Im the curator, That is What i go by now.... Let us begin shall we ? "

he begins a long practiced speech though you get the feeling your only one of a few who have heard it

" Here we have Watch station Rho- Zeta-Three  First note the construction"

He waves his hands in an arch

" Notice the Marble? It comes from Sulust... Very time consuming to bring here no?  The Doors are not Original, And i replaced them with Ironwood found in the sector, Apparently The original ones were Tythonian pine !

Not a great Job but until i can apply for Funding from The reclamation project I feel it will have to do. "

Astrid takes out a small hand lens from her utility belt and examines the doors. Hmm. Tangential cut, hardwood, but is it ironwood? Should have paid better attention in those Dendrology labs.

Taking a closer look at the marble. Sullustan? Who knows?

I want to like our new "friend" here, but I should be able to catch a slip if he's not really who he purports to be.

Yes, it always comes down to funding, does it not? she commiserates.

he ushers the group through the doors Several broken statues are here, They seem to be Generic Jedi statues... But There is a Holobust of A jedi Master called  " Eihos " the bust looks like a Human. He allows the group to look around... The floor is decorated with a Mosaic  that reads... " fall All those who are Lost, May they rest In the Force

He allows the Group to choose which way they go Left or Right... Left leads Into a room with a Few Paintings, To the Right To some Kind of Chamber  with a Few  Tapestries...

You note a console in each room, they tend to be generic consoles with basic museum like information... If he is a fraud it seems like hes put a lot of work into the place.

Astrid looks over several statues, then  finds herself captivated by the floor mosaic. She reads it aloud, slowly, trying to parse the significance of the words.

Raising her eyes once more, she approaches the holobust. Eihos...?

Just as a tapestried chamber to the right captures her attention, Durrak speaks-up again. Dude seriously has a problem with Jedi.

What my mannerless compatriot here means is, we're not exactly your Alaphoe Garden-variety tourists... which you well know.

The group heads toward the tapestried chamber to the right. Worra has only a passing interest in ancient Lore. He tried to avoid such coursework at the Diplomatic, though the curriculum had required one or two that he hadn't minded quite as much as he expected. Still, Worra tried his best to enjoy the artwork before him. The Doctor and Durrak seemed to be much more interested in the antiquities here than the rest of the party, though Durrak seemed a bit agitated by the tour guide's perpetual accolades for the Jedi.

"Tell me, curator, how often is this place visited? We are interested in the artifacts, but also in the comings and goings of a human named Imo Kul. Tall, gaunt, male, wears a dark robe. Perhaps asked particularly prying questions..."

Worra knew he had a few shots of Kul on his datapad, but he did not fancy showing images on their unconscious prisoner to the curator, unless it was absolutely necessary.

" There was a break in a few days ago, but nothing happened... one of the old Sarcophagus that was down in the Tomb  was opened.

Any body would be fragments... nothing worth stealing ... Nothing else save a few doors open...

Your the first  visitors ... in some time..."

" Eihos was presumably the founder of the Watch post... Though it's unsure... it simply is the only functioning Holo bust "

The museum is interesting but all he sees is Jedi stuff.

"Curator, where are the non Jedi artifacts ? "

" Hmmm there's some Sith Tablets, but they are so broken its almost unreadable..

. There's also a Staff... of a creature called *The Force walker*... and ..."

This he shows the group a large Stone Circular Slab.... it reads in the ancient runes which Astrid has just the translation matrix for ... Sealed for all time... is one of the Acolytes of an enemy that both Sith and Jedi ... had to work together to defeat.... The Acolyte of Screaming

" I can't read it but this was tossed outside when the building rose to the surface.. he notes "

The tapestries seem to depict various battles, and rulers of a tribe of Creatures similar to the Rakgouls

"The Acolyte of Screaming?" Worra asks, perking up at the mention of details that seem to be relevant to their current quest, not just pure ancient history. "These creatures depicted here, what are they? Are they associated with the Acolyte? Is the sarcophagus that was opened associated with the Acolyte or these creatures?"

Surely Kul was the burglar, Worra thought. Perhaps after some ancient useless knowledge, or perhaps something more useful.

Oops - didn't realize that Acolyte was only in the runes that Astrid could read. Since Astrid is reading it anyways, I'll chime in with this after her translation.

I'll go ahead and translate this aloud for the whole party to enjoy.

" What acolyte? " asks the Curator " I'm not aware of any that were here"

"In regards to the tapestries... Well funny story they were in a sort of research room .. as we have very little artefacts I thought they would look interesting... "

Very funny, yes. walking past him and carefully entering the tapestried former research room.

(have I encountered any reference to this Acolyte previously, or the creatures depicted? lore, xenology?)

I guess you just push past? As its in a side room, not the room where the tapestries now hang.

The Elderly man feels a bit intimidated but otherwise let's you pass

" This room has become ... a kinda  ... Well "

It is filled with mops, brushes, and other cleaning supplies.

You understand the Acolyte was part of the Sith Autocracy.. which Mr Zando wants anything even remotely regarding it.... you just happen to notice a Crystal.. that is covered completely in dust... which you pocket quite discretely... ( It's an artificial Sith purple colour crystal )

If the Zabrak noticed he's very aware of your guns and says nothing.

The tapestries have no connection to the Jedi or Sith or anything you know of.

(I did not realize he was blocking my progress, and was not really going for intimidation (but that works))

(Discreetly pocketing the dust-covered gem certainly falls within my modus operandi)

Turns back to curator:

Please excuse my brusqueness- the notion of a research center located within the temple piqued my curiosity, and I momentarily forgot my own manners. It appears to have fallen into disuse. When you first encountered it, were there any signs of recent activity?

He smiles weakly.. " yes.. no no worries... I believe you might be able to do something with this"  he hands you an old grime encrusted  data slab... " all I ask if you get anything from it you share it with the museum ... Hmm "

he notes "  yes in fact there were some footprints from a large well in the dark tunnels that seem to be even under the crypt ..

. I thought it was probably the children from the local villages north.. they come and throw mud occasionally.  "
