Sebashaw 0 Posted January 18, 2010 If I try to use Mind Control on a Elemental controlled by a Summoner (Control Ability), who is the winner? Same Question for: Control Fire VS Control Ability Cold Dominion VS Control Ability Air Control VC Control Ability Control Cold VS Control Ability Control Cold VS Cold Dominion and so on Thanks! Keylime 0 Posted January 20, 2010 Chapter 12 Opposed Abilities sub header states, "If, for example, two characters attempt to Control the same entity, the character with the highest result will dominate the being - although both must spend the same Zeon points." My inference of this rule leads me to believe that if a summoner who has control of a being and a mentalist tries to dominate it, the mentalist will gain domination over the being if he successfully beats the entity's PsR. But the summoner may attempt to recontrol the being on his initiative by doing the same thing but by targeting the MR instead of the PsR (GM Choice I'd say). But if the summoner has a spiritual link to the entitiy things would be a little bit different. Instead of teh summoner trying to redominate the entity, the entity may now have to beat the PsR difficulty in order to free itself from domination. But since I have yet to find one official rule for this hypothesis it is entirely up to the GM in this matter.
TheTenth2 0 Posted January 21, 2010 as I understand it, they don't do the same thing : the control of summoner will bend the will of the creature so that it is compelled to follow the summoner's orders, the control fire (and else) of the Psy only is used to "control spread or reshape" an element, so you could change the shape of a creature or make his limbs move, but not make him use his powers against his will or stop his defensive powers for example
Keylime 0 Posted January 22, 2010 My apologies, I misread the initial post. I though the OP was refering to a simple mind control power, such as the free access spell Dominate, and not the element control powers.
Sebashaw 0 Posted February 9, 2010 Sorry, the mind control power is the right case. What happen if a creature controlled by Control Ability is targeted by Dominate? I think a simple solution is Willpower VS Willpower test in the turn of creature, who win take the control of target for that turn. I don't think with Control Fire you can control the shape, but the actions of the target. [sorry for bad, bad, bad....bad english T_T]
