Treasure Hunter OP or not ?

Recommended Posts

Hi, I was browsing internet for this class strategy, and I seemed to find many people say this class is OP, broken and such.

I looked at class cards, but I simply cant see it. I can understand the Search deck digging, seems ok.......... but people say he is high dps as well. How so ? Just cuz he can have Pierce 2 ?

Since we are on the topic, can you share some strategy for this class ? I chose the basic hero Logan Lashley.

The treasure hunter can have for 2XP + 1 damage and Pierce 2 on each attacks, without having to spend anything.

Even the Berserker has no such advantages.

Futhermore, the Treasure Hunter will assure the party to have the most gold on each quest (around 250 + treasure cheast) so they will have the best equipement ever.

If not OP, I dunno what would be ...

The treasure hunter has the potential to be incredible. He is the wolverine of scouts, and if he's Logan Lashley, he is conveniently immune to the effects of several OL traps (can't be immobilized).

This is not to say that an OL fighting a treasure hunter is doomed to failure- but he definitely can carry his weight in the party.

I dont know, when I play I dont seem to have any time to pick up search tokens at all, and if I do, my team is nervous that I dont fight, and if I somehow manage to pick them I wont find treasure chest, only stupid 25g potions .....

Right- but the treasure hunter can:

Move the deck around, and pick up at two cards at a time- so he can ensure that if he searches 8 tokens, he will get all 4 50 gold cards, and probably the treasure chest. That's a lot of loot.

With gold rush and dungeoneer, searching is almost like performing a knight's advance (move and attack), and you get bonuses for having search cards with higher XP skills.

Yes, and Logan has the compass that gives him an extra movement point, often juuust enough to get to the treasure. And you can easily equip Logan with a bow and still get the benefits of Sleight of Hand wich compensates that he has to move out of the way.
