caelenvasius 197 Posted February 22, 2017 (edited) I've got a question about this card...what is the value of zero in this game? Technically zero is neither even nor odd, so the zero-valued chaos tokens in the chaos bag can't be resolved when triggering this action. The FAQ doesn't cover this yet... mwmcintyre 271 Posted February 22, 2017 Yeah, zero is an even number, you're WAY overthinking it. 2 caelenvasius and rsdockery reacted to this
caelenvasius 197 Posted February 22, 2017 The problem is that zero's parity and its value are not the same; zero's parity is even, but its value can't be either. It was my mistake to read the card using its value when every other reference to a number on that card uses that number's parity. Thanks everyone for getting me to fix my own conclusion. Khudzlin 734 Posted February 22, 2017 Zero's value is 0, which is even as well. 1 rsdockery reacted to this

I'm really confused what you mean. Parity is a property of the value - it just means "is this value odd or even?" Zero is even; zero's value is even; zero's parity is that it's an even number. These are all synonymous statements. 4 Khudzlin, Xenu's Paradox, rsdockery and 1 other reacted to this
CSerpent 520 Posted February 23, 2017 Zero is neither positive nor negative. Is that what you're thinking of?
FractalMind 10 Posted February 27, 2017 By definition an even number p is given by p = 2n, where n is an integer. Let n = 0, then p = 2*0 = 0. Hence, zero is an even number by definition. QED
