Whatever your position on the supply/ demand issues, I find it very hard to find anyone who would defend FFGs complete lack of communication on the matter. Finding out little bits of info from dealers who attended the toy fair, and then passed it on to the FLGS, doesn't constitute appropriate comms. I've spent close to $5000 on FFG products over the past 2 years. I'm a loyal customer who loves multiple ranges the company puts out, and will most likely continue to be loyal, despite some frustrations. But in return, all I ask is some simple, clear comms from the company on these issues, rather than the complete silence. It's disrespectful to the customer. Add in that FFG have chosen not to reply to my emails and social media questions on the subject only reinforces the opinion that they don't want to discuss matters like this. The quicker FFG engage with the customer base on the issue (such as with a few sentences wtihin a daily news article) the quicker we can all stop the back and forth on threads like this and return to what I value most about these forums - good, insightful discussions on what is a really good game. 2 soviet prince and GamerGuy1984 reacted to this
Hawkman2000 352 Posted February 21, 2017 Businesses don't always communicate. In some cases it's in their best interest and in some cases there are other circumstances. FFG or Fisney have determined that silence is best at this time. If you have a hand in any other SW products, you'll find that Disney keeps things on lock. They build excitement for events and products when they see fit and you're not going to have luck forcing their hand.

Wonanddone 1 Posted February 22, 2017 (edited) Sorry new account so the post is delayed over 2 hrs already but @ feb 21 8pm eastern time Amazon UK had awakenings booster boxes for 77 pounds. Shipping in 1-2 months. They do ship to Canada, probably US as well. It came out to around $265 canadian for 2 boxes which compared to the 401 games price of $230 with tax cad for one box now... much better.. hope this helps! Ahsoka Tano 0 Posted February 22, 2017 (edited) Very first post here. I have been trying to locate anything for this game, and I have came up with absolutely nothing in the state of Minnesota unless it is at shops charging ebay prices. The only shop I have in my area is charging $10 for a pack of cards. And they are taking preorders for the next expansion pack, however they are limiting preorders only for their tournament players and no one else. So they are alienating those that want to get into the game but havent started or arent good enough for Tourny play. The store owner couldnt find a card and told me he purchased it directly from Fantasy Flight. I cant even find a single pack or Starter deck at retail to even attempt to begin a deck for myself let alone my older brother to get a deck, let alone attempt to get a full complete set. I even emailed Fantasy Flight regarding ordering or if new product was being shipped etc and only got a auto reply and the reply was for replacement parts, nothing at all about what I asked about. This game looks so cool but is already frustrating and I havent bought any product. Edited February 22, 2017 by Ahsoka Tano spelling
ScottieATF 2,867 Posted February 22, 2017 FFG is not going to respond to you through social media or email regarding the production and distribution of a product line licenced through Disney. Email them to voice your concerns, but there should be no expectation you're going to get an answer on that subject through that avenue.

Wonanddone 1 Posted February 22, 2017 (edited) Hey Alex, not sure if I'm allowed to direct link on here to amazon UK, but it shows Awakenings booster boxes contains 36 packs, shipped and sold by amazon(not third party), dispatch within 1-2 months. Even if they're guessing, I would hope amazon has info on release dates. easy to cancel amazon orders so not too worried about it being an error. Hope it's real tho! DailyRich 3,346 Posted February 22, 2017 Amazon is notoriously optimistic with their release dates. They're shown release info for X-Wing expansions that had no resemblance to when they actually shipped. It's all an estimate. 2 KryatDragon and GamerGuy1984 reacted to this

Ahsoka Tano 0 Posted February 24, 2017 Thank you everyone so far for all the help in figuring out how to get boxes I have ordered a couple individual cards off eBay not many just like five haha. Just kinda starting out small.
Mikeb21 1 Posted February 24, 2017 Supply and demand is going to screw us want-to-be players. Short print runs make prices skyrocket. You paid $100 a box? Short print runs can make that price much much higher. Not a good position to be in for any incoming player. 1 GamerGuy1984 reacted to this

DJRAZZ 56 Posted February 24, 2017 (edited) I am still waiting patiently for this to get sorted out. It is kinda of hard to believe. I guess it is combinations of all the things mentioned in the different threads on this site. We know all the theories. This happened in MTG way back in the 90's. But we are in 2017 and this is not MTG. Much has been learned since then. I guess FFG's was just being cautious and the interest in this game just took off more than expected. One thing that should not be tolerated is paying crazy prices for rarity of product on a new game like this. Paying extra for a needed rare card/cards is one thing but for a whole run or expansion, that is bad form and very off putting. People who love the game will do what it takes to get the cards feeding this corruptive and addictive behavior and almost forming a black market, at the very least a monopoly. New players or interested players will be left out like homeless people with bad insurance. Dedicated CCG and Starwars fans like myself will wait it out like a national depression with the hope that at some point things will be righted and this game will be accessible again. Collectibility is one thing. This is something else. Edited February 24, 2017 by DJRAZZ 1 SoonerTed reacted to this

Not necessarily, what was left out was the size of the print run. The fact that they referred to it as limited isn't encouraging though. Historically FFG has learned how to print enough product the more sets they get into the game. Sadly, that usually isn't by the second set so SoR should be interesting. Glad I preordered a saga set last Friday. I'm curious about the rotation. All of a sudden that seems pretty important. All in all not a good start to the morning. We can only hope they get the quantities figured out as quick as possible going forward. Robin Graves 6,054 Posted March 1, 2017 They called it a "limited" print run. But do we have any numbers on just how much product that is? For all we know they are "pulling an eternal masters" and this stuff isn't nearly as limited as we think it is..
DJRAZZ 56 Posted March 3, 2017 (edited) I hope so. Someone mentioned in another thread that 2017 could turn into a beta tester year. It feels this way so far. The scary thing is will the game have the same excitement with next year's base set if it is basically a re-release. IF they could have just continued to release product all this year and confirm that they are doing so, true gamers and Star wars fans would understand. It just not fair to make this set an Alpha set so quickly. Edited March 3, 2017 by DJRAZZ 1 GamerGuy1984 reacted to this

Collectibility is one thing. This is something else. From what I know when Destiny was announced as a CCG, the forums and groups talking about the game itself had a royal **** fit. Most felt that a premium card game with dice should not be distributed through random packs, but more inline with a LCG where you bought what you wanted and got playsets of stuff. So FFG adjusted their printing accordingly due to low apparent interest. Lo and behold the game is good enough to look past the disrribution method and demand goes through the roof. 1 KryatDragon reacted to this
DJRAZZ 56 Posted March 7, 2017 I remember those posts and there were several. But it was not everyone. They just did not make enough product. This is Star Wars, a new CCG, a new CCG with dice, and coming from a trusted gaming company with a successful Star Wars line. 1 Robin Graves reacted to this
