I don't think FFG will solve the shortage issue until they launch the next base set at the end of the year. My conjecture revolves around the assumption that FFG will want to hit the Holiday market hard and get those new starters in as many new players hands as possible. In the mean time, those few who are enjoying the game are spreading the hype until then. I keep my expectations low for SoR in hopes that I am surprised by a sudden appearance of an over-abundance of Destiny product in May. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

What I end up with is ppl who feel like they're pretty good card players, enjoy the first and second game, begin to do some research during the week, return and say meh I would like to try this or that, I might get in when I can buy my own cards. The other ppl play a hand bc it is Star Wars, and they are fans, or because it's new and rare, and they're like wow you have every card! And then they go back to MTG. This idea that competitive CCG guys are just going to line up and get deep into the meta with my card set is just wishful thinking. LordFajubi 1,308 Posted March 1, 2017 (edited) I fear more people getting into it and deciding it's not for them. The rules are not the greatest in a few areas and this model will, regardless how people feel/believe what have you, make this game a rich kids game which WILL make people drop it. I am personally very close to selling a set I spent waaay too much money building because I have almost no confidence in its lifespan.
