Blackbird888 4,110 Posted February 1, 2017 72. A wing is composed of six squadrons of 12 fighters -- 4 regular TIE squadrons, and 2 specialty squadrons (usually bombers or interceptors). A squadron is made up of 3 flights of 4 fighters. Flights are split into 2 elements of 2 fighter each. At least according to the Star Wars Sourcebook.
