CC list to stop unbeatable (?) Rebel lists

Firesprays and Rhymer murder MC30s. You'll need quite a few, at least 3, but being able to chase MC30s and having 2 bomber dice really puts a damper on things. And 6 hull means they won't ever die. Focus fire on Admo first, since Foresigtht can reroll both dice. Use squad commands if you try to line up a shot first so you can drain some shields, and maybe even burn a token first. And Firesprays are great at hunting flotillas and CR90s, so it can help with Rieekan.

It's lame, but it's not rules lawyering. It's simply how the rules are written - judging by the timing it's intentionally written that way.

ah reading about a ramming list brings out the rage. I really hope there's none of that crap at the tournament this weekend. Hate the ramming.

(and yes I know they're about to make it more of 'a thing' with the hammerhead)

I never got the hate for ramming. It punishes the user as well. Counter it with tighter formation flying . Make it difficult or impossible for the 8 CR90s to target a single vessel  

 

Nonetheless, mid-high hull bombers for hitting the Rieekan fleet. Lambdas to get the message out (farther). A decent bomber wing should cripple or destroy a CR90 per turn

For me it's simply that it feels daft. I know Rogue One made it 'more canon' or whatever. 
But, there are several decent games about Roman warfare at sea (and earlier) where ramming was the tactic.
Personally, I want to play a game about far-future ships shooting at each other, not impaling one another in some bizarre corvette swarm.
Plus (back to the old argument..) a corvette hitting an ISD would probably just disintegrate, oh wait Rogue One says not.. (****..)

In all fairness it was a hammerhead, which is a tougher built ship in universe, coming in at an acute angle  and hitting an ISD that was DISABLED and had no shields or defenses. It also wasn't going full speed.

Writer shields. 100% effective.

I remember groaning inwardly at what that meant for armada when I saw it happen.
Still, ramming in-game it is what it is.

But those using ramming tactics as their primary tactic should be killed, painfully.
Or subjected to a no-win situation as the opponent intentionally plays for a 5-5, hugs the board edge, deploys obstacles as a shield and other bs

Oh they are fast enough to get there, just not to turn around very much.
On the board edge they'd better be very careful.
And if I deploy in an echelon you will struggle to get through and have less surface area to fight against.

A tactical problem to be sure.

But.. ah collisions. I hate the collision rules. Blocking, fine if we must..
But a billion ton star destroyer does not stop for a corvette. I mean it fits inside the bloody thing.
