SEApocalypse 4,443 Posted January 26, 2017 (edited) Yoda had plans for Luke before he even faced Palpatine, he was aware of the fall of the republic and the fall of the jedi long before it happens and he admits himself that he was full o fear and arrogance during most of the clone wars. Not even Yoda could live up to the inhuman jedi code of the late republic. For reference watch Sacrifice, Destiny and Voices again. And enjoy the irony that the council considered Qui-Gon as somewhat of a grey, while he had learned his lesson a long time before on the Wellspring of Life. And you see similar things with Obi-Wan in the mandalorian and Maul story arcs. You see it as well in the final Ahsoka arc and in the accusations of Barriss to the whole jedi order becoming corrupt and in the reaction of council to the framing of Ahsoka in the first place. You see it as well in TPM, AotC and RotS, even when it is maybe to subtle and buried below a ton of really, really crappy dialog. edit: Now if you think about, you could consider a classic grey knight a light side jedi without the dogma of the late jedi knight order. He still falls to the darkside if he uses the dark side, he still is not free to commit evil acts, but he does not feel guilty if he spends the night with a woman he likes or about god forbid, actually being in love with her. So under this assumption, it is clear we are still talking usually about a lightsider, just one without the strict guidelines of the jedi code. Or in other words, basically most PC characters in FaD during the normal time setting. Nothing that special really.
