Why Switch the LotR LCG Packaging to Plastic? It's worse for the environment.

I was a fan of the old style boxes but have noticed some being plastic now I have come back to the game.

It's such a waste of plastic that goes straight in the bin. This stuff never degrades and I can't even find out if it's recyclable (nowhere online says whether it is).

It's my major gripe across pretty much all of FFG's range now you don't support environmentally friendly packaging which is such a shame when the majority of them go straight into the bin once opened.

It is recyclable.

They do it because they save cost. Plastic is cheaper, you only need to print slips instead of boxes, so printing is cheaper.

Just be glad that they don't seal them in clamshells like the X-Wing and Arnada stuff.
