31st Stabilization Task Force After Action Review (AAR) 1-1

Froz Incident

Beginning Brief:

Rebel incursion into the Correllian sector is underway. Reports indicate multiple bases and outpost have been established on a handful of worlds. Initial reports of a Rebel hyper lane raid over Selonia in the Correlian system suggest a significant disruption of the systems economy. Weaponized Mon Calamari starships were reported in the area. Rumors suggest an open large scale attack directly against Imperial forces may be imminent.

The Correllian sector's diplomatic league appears to have been subsumed by the Rebellion. Several massive Rebel propaganda efforts appear to be targeting the Corfai & Polanis systems. Moff Jerjerrod and the 31st Stabilization Task Force has been dispatched to ensure that Froz, the lone diplomatic league world not to be openly propagandizing for the rebellion, remains loyal.

31st Stabilization Task Force Order of Battle:

Commander:

- Moff Jerjerrod

Battle Line:

- Victory II Class Star Destroyer with Gunnery Teams (Flagship)

- Victory I Class Star Destroyer with Expanded Hanger Bays

- Raider I Class Corvette with Ordinance Experts

- Gonzati Class Cruiser Flotilla with Bomber Command

Fighter Wing:

- Major Rhymer (TIE/sa)

- TIE Bomber (TIE/sa) x3

- Zertick Strom (TIE/x1)

- Tempest Squadron (TIE/x1)

- TIE Defender (TIE/d)

- TIE Phantom (TIE/ph)

- Lambda Shuttle (T-4a)

- Jumpmaster 5000 Long Range Scout

Initial Situation:

Upon exiting hyperspace the 31st's initial system scan showed a strong Rebel presence around Froz. Further scans indicated that the local planetary defense ion cannons had active targeting beacons strung along the central approach to the planet. Post battle report from local authorities indicate they had been 'seized' by traitorous elements of the local security forces.

The majority of the Rebel fleet was in orbit around Froz in the upper left quadrant of the combat zone. A lone Assault Frigate was separated from the main body in the upper right quadrant.

Orders were issued to destroy the lone frigate before advancing to ensure Froz's safety and security, in an effort to defeat the Rebels in detail.

The 31st formed up with the Fighter Wing leading from the lower center followed closely by the Gonzati flotilla. The Raider corvette was returning to join the Gonzatis after a sweep of the lower left quadrant. The Victory I and II Star Destroyers flanked to the right of the squadron ball.

Upon entering engagement range the lone Rebel frigate turned out to be a sensor decoy. The unified Rebel fleet slowly advanced out of Froz orbit in the upper left quadrant. It's an ambush.

Rebel Fleet Order of Battle:

Analysis provided by Imperial Intelligence following review of Imperial sensor logs and debris evaluation. Report supplemented by Imperial Security Bureau 'interviews' with local populace.

Commander:

- Commander Sato

Battle Line:

- MC80 Battle Cruiser, Mon Karren

- Assault Frigate Mark B with Electronic Countermeasures (ECM)

- Assault Frigate Mark B with Electronic Countermeasures (ECM)

Fighter Wing:

- A-Wing Interceptor (RZ-1) x4

- Green Squadron (RZ-1)

- E-Wing Escort Starfighter

- X-Wing (T-65b) x2

Battle Report:

Upon discovering the Rebel subterfuge and treasonous planetary defense grid, the 31st Stabilization Task Force advanced at a slow but steady pace towards the central combat zone. The 31st aimed to split the central and right most Ion targeting beacons. The fighter wing providing close space patrol (CSP) and prepped for bombing runs in advance of the Task Force.

The Rebel fleet slowed to a halt in high orbit with their fighters slowly advancing toward the Imperial force.

The 31st continued to advance into the central region. The Victory I leading the way with the flagship Victory II moving into a trailing/right flanking position. A minor collision between the Raider and the Gonzati flotilla delayed its advance putting the smaller vessels in trailing leftward position. The fighter wing led by its anti-squadron detachment now stretched from the trailing Gonzatis all the way forward of the Victories

The Rebel force remained stationary while its fighters continued their slow movement running from the upper right quadrant to the upper central region.

The treasonous planetary ion cannons fired two salvos at the lead Victory I taking down part of its shields & exhausting its defenses. However, only minor damage was done. The 31st began to pivot towards Froz and the Rebel fleet, with the fighter wing its screening advance.

The Rebel fleet finally began to initiate their engines. An Assault Frigate began a slow movement parallel to the upper limit of the combat zone from right to center. The Battle Cruiser began a 45 degree advance toward the Imperial task force, with the final frigate taking a wider flanking maneuver coming down from the upper left quadrant. Several squadrons of A-wings backed up by an X-wing began to intercept the Imperial screen.

Following guidance from the Star Destroyers and the flotilla, the Imperial escort & interceptor squadrons, led by Zertick Strom, began destroying the Rebel fighter incursion. Several key commands where relayed though the accompanying Lambda shuffle. Anti-squadron fire from the Victory I and Raider provided flak. The Victories began to angle towards cutting off the upper frigate's path while the bomber force, under Major Rhymer's command, prepared for their attack run on the same frigate. The Raider continued to move into the center of the combat zone to cover the fighter wing, while the Gonzati flotilla trailed between the Raider and Victories.

Staggered Rebel fighter incursions continued to delay the fighter wing, but the first long range missile strikes from the TIE/sa Bombers began impacting the upper frigates starboard shields. Tempest squadron was key in both distracting and destroying several A-wing squadrons. Also, of additional note the TIE/d Defender prototype squadron performed exemplary in both its escort & bombing duties.

Long range ship to ship fire began to be exchanged between the Victory I and the upper frigate. The Raider corvette, having assisted in covering the fighter wing, was now in the unenviable position of starring down the long range turbolasers of the battle cruiser and other frigate. Pushing maximum power to engines it dove between the battle cruiser and the beleaguered upper frigate, clearing the kill zone. The Gonzati flotilla began evading to the right in order to stay out of range of the oncoming Rebel guns.

The Rebels advanced firing anti-squadron fire. Strom's TIE/x1 Advanced fighter was destroyed, but not before his successful ejection. The TIE/ph Phantom wove through the fire to eliminate the last Rebel squadron, the E-wings.

Combined fire from the Victories and Rhymer's bomber detachment destroyed the upper frigate. The kill shot provided by the TIE/d Defender squadron.

The remaining Rebel fleet fled into hyperspace following the conclusion of the engagement. The 31st Stabilization Task Force moved into Froz orbit securing the planet, and the last 'loyal' part of the Corellian diplomatic league, from further Rebel influence.

Post Battle Situation:

With the Rebel fleet drive off, the abandoned traitors manning the planetary ion cannons surrendered to local security forces. Imperial Security Bureau (ISB) personnel backed up by a stormtrooper detachment took custody of the traitors and they are currently being 'questioned'.

Imperial Intelligence in conjunction with the ISB and stormtrooper legion have begun re-stabilizing Froz. The 31st has moved into 'protective' orbit over key population centers in case of further Rebel aggression. Current debate between interested parties and commands regarding the need to establish a more permanent Imperial presence is underway.

Award Recommendations:

Tempest Squadron for exemplary combat service.

Recommendations & Concerns:

With heightened Rebel presence on the sector, it is becoming clear that---

31st Stabilization Task Force After Action Review (AAR) 1-2

Return to Corellia

Beginning Brief:

Imperial command altered the deal with the Frozian members of the Corellian Diplomatic League to include a base and full garrison. However, of more urgent concern the sector capital of Corellia has fallen to the Imperial traitor Crix Madine.

Darth Vader's task force was already enroute to make a show of force in the Corfai system and Admiral Motti's fleet has withdrawn to Nubia for repairs. This left Moff Jerjerrod's 31st Stabilization Task Force to immediately depart for Corellia to strike back and the Rebel scum.

31st Stabilization Task Force Order of Battle:

Commander:

- Moff Jerjerrod

Battle Line:

- Victory II Class Star Destroyer with Gunnery Teams and XI7 Turbolasers (Flagship)

- Victory I Class Star Destroyer with Minister Tua, Electronic Countermeasures (ECM), and Expanded Hanger Bays

- Raider I Class Corvette, the Impetuous, with Ordinance Experts and Flechette Torpedoes

- Jumpmaster 5000 Long Range Scout

Initial Situation:

The 31st emerged from hyperspace above Corellia. Scans indicated that Madine's fleet was not present, instead Commander Sato's force was limping into orbit. While the Rebel force regrouped a group of Corellian YT-1300s appeared from a smuggler base to join up with the Rebel fleet. The 31st had the opportunity to not only retake Corellia but deal a second major blow to Sato's fleet.

The 31st formed up in standard advancing formation with the Gonzati flotilla shepherding the fighter wing from the lower center region, flaked to the right by the Victory I and to the left by the Victory II followed by the Impetuous.

Commander Sato's rebel fleet regrouped with the two Assault Frigates on the upper central region with the MC80 Battle Cruiser angled in from the upper left quadrant. The two flotillas sat between the cruiser and frigates, the rebel and smuggler fighters were strung out in front of the capital ships.

The VSD I now parallel continue to advance toward the left while the Impetuous under orders jumped in front of the VSD II causing a collision. The rebel fleet advanced while Sato continued his mad dash across space. Rebel fighters moved into the central combat zone, while the Imperial bombers moved to unload on the Mon Karren. The Imperial fighter groups moved to engage and 'tie' up the Rebel fighters.

The Impetuous took a few shots assisting the Imperial fighters in anti-squadron fire before moving into the fighter cloud. A rebel transport coordinated E-wing and A-wing damaged but did not destroy the Intel Jumpmaster.

The VSD II directing several bomber squadrons began to damage Sato's command ship. The Impetuous took minor damage from an Assault Frigate and being rammed by the VSD I, before being blasted out of space by heavy turbolaser fire from the Mon Karren. The fighter wings began to engage with a single A-wing managing to avoid the Jumpmasters escorts destroyed the Intel command fighter. The previously scarred E-wing squadron was destroyed by the TIE Phantoms, there were no survivors.

The VSD I began emergency repairs while firing on the Medium Transport flotilla pressing it into defensive measures. The last of the Imperial escort fighters were destroyed and a pair of A-wings scarred the VSD I forcing its withdrawal.

The VSD II took a shot at the Medium Transport flotilla forcing it to burn through its scattering measures, before advancing towards the upper left quadrant.

The remaining rebel ships took potshots at the Gonzati flotilla while the rebel fighters slowly picked of the beleaguered imperial bombers and Lambda coordination shuttle. Major Rhymer was able to break free of the furball for a split second fired upon the damaged Medium transports but was unable to destroy them.

The Gonzatis and VSD II moved further out months combat zone whole Major Rhymer's bombers were wiped out.

A few fleet maneuvering mishaps resulted in the destruction of the damaged transport flotilla as the battle concluded. The remaining VSD, Gonzati, and Lambda shuttle jumped to hyperspace.

31st Stabilization Task Force After Action Review (AAR) 1-3
Show of Force Polanis

Beginning Brief:

Lord Vader's task force took significant damage while destroying Corfai's orbital installations.  Imperial Intelligence believes the rebels have still increased their presence on the world despite Vader's actions.  The Dark Lord's fleet is now attempting to flank the Rebels by advancing through the Silerian asteroid field.

After successfully repelling Madine's attack on Nubia, Admiral Motti's fleet again successfully defended Nubia from Commander Sato's terrorist band.  This Imperial victory has allowed resources to continue to flood into the fortress world for distribution throughout the sector.

Having unsuccessfully retaken Correllia, Moff Jerjerrod and the 31st have deployed to show the might of the Empire to the wavering world of Polanis.  Comms alert from Nubia indicates Madine's force withdrew in the direction of Polanis.  Imperial Intelligence suspects Madine's force to be in the area and enemy contact is likely.

    ⁃    Dengar (Jumpmaster 5000)
    ⁃    TIE Interceptor (TIE/in)

Initial Situation:

Upon the 31st Stabilization Task Force's arrival, comscan revealed high amounts of communication chatter.  Recon reports quickly indicated the Imperial traitor Madine was present and moving to interpose his force between the 31st and Polanis' orbital facilities, located in the upper left and center regions.

The 31st formed up with both Victory Star Destroyers prepared to advance up the left flank with the Gonzati flotillas and Impetuous trailing.  The fighter and bomber wings massed along side the bomber command Gonzatis behind the Victory II.

Madine's assault MC80, the Defiance, arranged itself across from the rightful Imperial forces, between Polanis's primary two stations. One of the rebel's medium transport flotillas followed the defiance while both the MC30, Admonition, and a battle scarred CR90a appeared on the upper right quadrant.  The rebel fighters swarmed around the central most station and the Quantum Storm led medium transport flotilla had just finished departing the station.

Further scans revealed the MC30 was a decoy as the actual Admonition emerged from the left most station's sensor shadow.

Battle Report:

The Victory II swung a full 90 degree turn to face the left upper station and advanced with the scarred Victory I closing from the left.  Both Gonzati flotillas cautiously trailed the Victory II flagship with the Impetuous at the rear.  The massed Imperial squadrons moved to the right flank of the Moff Jerjerrod's Star Destroyer preparing to engage.

The treasonous Madine led the rebel force forward.  The Defiance accelerated to its maximum speed and angled preparing to interpose its mass in front of the leftmost Polanis station.  The Admonition likewise went to maximum speed swinging to the far left flank.  The medium transports advanced towards the central region with the scarred CR90a corvette going to maximum speed in an effort to get into the battle, being caught further away from the battle then expected.

BF4F4D19-9112-4DBF-BDD9-9157FEFD01A4.jpg

The Victory II charged forward pivoting to the right avoiding the Mon Cals heavy broadside.  Imperial bombers me by Major Rhymer began long range strikes on the Torpedo Frigate.  Meanwhile  the Quantum Storm moved to provide Toryn Far led tactical updates as heavy combat was inevitable.

The MC80 slowed its advance and opened fire upon the Imperial squadrons beginning to swarm around it.  The Imperial fighter wing began to engage the Rebel squadrons.

The Admonition slowed slightly as it moved to point blank range on the Imperial flagship, prepping to unleash a close in fusillade.  The Victory I continued forward covering the flagships left flank, closing in on the Admonition.

The Gonzanti flotillas continued to trail the main battle line providing bomber command and comm support.  The Corellian Corvette proceeded to race in from the right flank and the Raider Corvette increased speed racing inward toward the fighter scrum and towards the Rebel transport flotillas.

B88A84C1-26E9-48D2-9B83-AE99BFB5C7BA.jpg

The Victory I coordinated several bombing strikes on the Admonition before unleashing a massive salvo that catastrophically scarred the frigate forcing its withdrawal.  Flying through the debris field the Star Destroyer move to block in the Defiance from the front.

The Imperial fighter wing began to crumble from continued anti squadron fire, coordinated rebel squadron fire, and a previously unseen B-Wing missile platform firing area effect munitions.  The Quantum Storm transport flotilla swung towards the lower combat area away from the massive capital ship confrontation.  However, it moved into part of the fighter furball.  Dagger squadron and several Z-95 squadrons had to evade putting them into close range of the approaching raider.

The Defiance advanced, barely avoiding colliding with the Victory I while firing on the bomber command Gonzati flotilla and the Victory I.  The Imperial flagship opened fire on the Defiance in return, doing minimal damage before firing on the rebel fighters who were taking control of fighter engagement.  The Victory II moved forward ramming the side of the MC80, which was now pincered by the two Star Destroyers and in the crosshairs of every heavy turbolaser on each ship.

The rebel corvette now finally began to enter the engagement having flanked the Imperial fleet.

471920C1-6E08-466F-92E2-7E3541E490A5.jpg

The Victory I coordinated a bombing run on Madine's flagship before unleashing a heavy barrage.  The destroyer pulled a tight right turn causing some minor internal damage.  It then began to collide with the front of the Defiance, which at that moment unleashed its own attacks on the two Star Destroyers.  It then accelerated back to maximum speed, dove under the Victory I, pulled a 90 degree turn leaving Moff Jerjerrod staring at open space where a kilometer long ship used to be.

The Defiance was now completely out of the flagship's heavy front arc.  This left very little desirable targets, and the Quantum Storm's flotilla disintegrated under the Victory II's starboard and aft guns.  Jerjerrod then moved to try to position his ship to fire upon the left station and Madine, but the Defiance remained outside of the flagship's heaviest guns.

The rebel corvette finally entered range and began to fire to little effect.  The Impetuous destroyed all Rebel squadrons in reach with a massive flechette torpedo broadside, before accelerating toward the right station.

The remaining rebel transports swerved to avoid the charging Raider.  The bomber command Gonzatis tried desperately to avoid the massive ships in front but were forced into a collision.  The other Gonzati flotilla was able to avoid any collisions.

The remaining Imperial fighter escort were destroyed leaving a fleeing Jumpmaster piloted by Dengar, and the TIE Bomber squadrons enveloped by rebel fighters.

431F7482-6BD6-46D2-82AF-6AF871328106.jpg

The Victory I's new Captain briefly considered prepping for a hyper jump, but instead ordered the engineering crews to damage control stations bringing shields back online.  The Star Destroyer fired a heavy barrage into the left station taking down half its shields before unleashing ineffectual anti-squadron fire.  It as advanced cutting to the left interposition its recently raised front and side shields between it and the Defiance.

The Mon Calamari ship then fired a broadside doing massive damage to the already scarred Victory I.  The Defiance also fired on the bomber command Gonazatis scarring the flotilla.  Madine moved toward the upper left corner of the combat zone continuing to avoid the Star Destroyers' heaviest weapons.

Jerjerrod's Star Destroyer further damaged the left station while slowing to allow more accurate targeting.  The Impetuous unleashed a heavy assault upon the rightmost station, before screaming past it unable to line up another heavy shot.

The Corellian Corvette along with a rebel bombing run opened fire into the rear of the Victory I.  A proton torpedo or turbolaser blast hit the already heavily damaged ship, which then exploded catastrophically.  The last of the Imperial bombers we're destroyed as several rebel fighters moved to strike at the last Gonzati flotilla.

238C97BF-2EE5-4177-BF0C-7EAD34039955.jpg

The Gonzatis broke away from the engagement while the CR90 began firing into the Imperial flagship.  The Victory II destroyed the left station before turning to face the Defiance.

The Defiance and the rebel fighters in range did significant damage, but were unable to take down the Victory II Star Destroyer.

The Impetuous with one last shot took down the right station's shields, but was unable to destroy it as the Imperial survivors withdrew into hyperspace.

Award Recommendations:

Victory II Class Star Destroyer for exemplary combat service.

Post Battle Situation:

The failure over Polanis has allowed the Rebellion yet another foothold and presence.  Imperial flags burn across the sector.  The 31st Stabilization Task Force has taken massive casualties and may no longer be combat effective.

The fortress world of Nubia does remain as a secure Imperial supply line into the sector. Admiral Motti's fleet is approaching full operational status.  Report from Lord Vader's flanking operation is forthcomming.

Word from Coruscant indicates the Emperor is becoming increasingly frustrated with the situation.

Review and Recommendations

The Office of Naval Operations finds the entire outcome of the battle appears to have tipped on General Madine and the Defiance's inexplicable escape from being pinned by both Victory Star Destroyers.  Imperial Intelligence remains at a loss for explanation, though the Imperial Security Bureau suspect some traitorous element aligned with the traitorous Madine.  ONO gives a 95% likelihood of scarring damage to the Defiance and survival of the Victory I, if the MC80 had not cursedly escaped.

Unfortunately that did not occur.  Imperial command is currently debating the dissolution of the 31st Stabilization Task Force and the reassignment of Moff Jerjerrod to a backwater construction project.

More immediately, it is rec...
