buzard 3 Posted December 26, 2016 1. You draw Grasping Hands a revelation card from the encounter deck (or draw a weakness with revelation), does resolving the revelation use an action? I don't think so but wanted to ask. 2. After drawing from the encounter deck can Agnes play a Ward of Protection on an Ancient Evils in Skid's threat area? (Both are in same room) 3. Agnes' triggered ability to do 1 damage, does happen as soon as an enemy spawns in same room or at start of her investigation turn. I assume if there are more than 1 enemy she can chose which one takes damage? 4. Agnes' artifact Heirloom of Hyperborea's trigger, If I put Shriveling into play does that activate the trigger or is it when I use an action to fire off the spell? Ancient Evils just has a Revelation effect and then goes to the encounter discard pile. It should never be in anyone's threat area. Treacheries only go to the threat area when they say so. Ward of Protection says you can cancel a treachery when you draw it, so it can't be used to cancel something drawn by another investigator. It also has to be right when the treachery is drawn. 3. Agnes' triggered ability happens when she takes horror, which can happen at different times. Normally an enemy only deals horror when it attacks. Spawning usually won't deal horror, so she can't use her ability right then. However, any effect that gives her horror will allow her to damage an enemy once. For example, Agnes can use Forbidden Knowledge to gain a resource and deal one horror to Agnes, who can then deal 1 damage to an enemy. Yes, you choose which enemy takes the damage. 4. Heirloom of Hyperborea says to draw after you play a card - this means putting into play from your hand. So, yes, you get the trigger when you play it, but not when you use an action. Hope this helps.
