Truthiness 5,707 Posted December 19, 2016 (edited) I like him as an Officer like so: "If your commander is removed from play, you may continue to use that commander's ability so long as Piett remains in play." It allows you to do that exact scene you have on the card. He would be Captain Piett in that case, though.
