soullos 147 Posted December 16, 2016 So, I guess Daisy is like solo Tactics in LotR. Really crap right out of the gate, but don't worry, it will only take 5 years for the right cards to come out to make it viable. Do you think the spoiled cards from Dunwich might give her a fighting chance?
Samea 141 Posted December 16, 2016 So, I guess Daisy is like solo Tactics in LotR. Really crap right out of the gate, but don't worry, it will only take 5 years for the right cards to come out to make it viable. I would disagree - with Old Book of Lore, Scrying and her mastery of investigation, Daisy has a lot of control over the flow of the game and the cards she draws. With spells she is decent in combat. You absolutely have to plan ahead, but that seems like a play style fitting for a librarian.I had a harder time with Skids who cannot investigate without flashlights and skill boosts and Wendy, who has serious trouble dealing damage without the right cards. 1 Soakman reacted to this
shosuko 2,174 Posted December 16, 2016 I think it's important to note that, at least with the core set investigators, that while she is the weakest solo she is the one that can turn it up to 11 in multiplayer. She can grab clues like no other character can. 4 shroud locations aren't that uncommon, and it's one of the tests you KNOW you'll run into in every adventure. Buhallin 4,563 Posted December 16, 2016 I'll agree generally with most of the points here. Daisy's strength is in control and support, so you have to use that. There's plenty of combat potential in the Mystic spells, which is what you'll need for the fighting. You won't have Encyclopedia at the start, but it should be a high-priority upgrade. Mind Over Matter turns her into a combat beast to help deal with the smaller enemies. She's definitely the trickier one to solo, but I don't think any different than what Zoe is out of the next set. She's going to be awesome at fighting, but very weak at finding clues. If you want to play them solo you have to shore over the weaknesses. This is very possible with Daisy, but it does require focus.
Noccus 324 Posted December 17, 2016 This might help you guys out. I use almost the exact deck and it works well. https://arkhamdb.com/decklist/view/101/knowledge-overwhelming-solo-deck-1.
Samea 141 Posted December 17, 2016 I started with this deck, but quickly lost the magnifying glasses when I never found use for them - I'd rather use my hand slots for lots and lots of books...
Xenu's Paradox 40 Posted December 17, 2016 Running Hyperawareness can really help with Evasion.
cajgel 0 Posted January 15, 2017 (edited) possible way to win gathering with daisy: 1. evade priest move parley lita 2. move to hallway 2x fight priest with shrivelling boosted with arcane studies. this deals 6 damage. without lita you need 3x fight in hallway with shrivell and arcane.
