TBot 589 Posted December 13, 2016 Please talk me out of this list as I don't want to pay for 5 Strikers. 100 Points x 4 - Imperial Trainee (17) -Lightweight Frame (2) -Adaptive Ailerons (0) Duchess (23) -Veteran Instincts (1) -Adaptive Ailerons (0) Flank with the duchess and use adaptive ailerons and barrel rolls to not get shot. Fly the 4 trainees in formation. They will die, but hopefully alierons will make them somewhat unpredictable. This seems very fun to fly. I'm aware some lists will eat it this alive. Any thoughts? 1 Punning Pundit reacted to this
Jo Jo 4,662 Posted December 13, 2016 Why not put LF on the Duchess? Its your most expensive ship.
RejjeN 149 Posted December 13, 2016 Why not put LF on the Duchess? Its your most expensive ship. Yeah, probably worth it to skip LF on one of the smaller dudes just to keep her safer from turrets and other aces that will give you initiative (because you don't have a bid). Vargas79 411 Posted December 13, 2016 Ditch the Duchess for Pure Sabaac with title, lightweight frame and trickshot or adaptability.
TBot 589 Posted December 13, 2016 I agree duchess should have the LF. I just wrote it that way for simplicity. While I agree sabaac is a good ship, I really want a ps10 so I can get the slippery ships in arc. Without that ps 10 I feel I will never get the soontirs and EU vaders in arc
Dwing 1,977 Posted December 13, 2016 (edited) Its probably a fun list to fly, probably not very competetive though. 5 Siener TAPs with autothrusters and title don't cut it and they are way more action economic and has a pretty great dial. If only Lightweight frame was 0 points, the pricing of the Strikers and the Tie/SF would make much more sense. Dwing 1,977 Posted December 13, 2016 Yes and the TAP has two reds with TL... + it gets an evade, an extra green, higher PS and Thrusters :/. I like the Striker named pilots, but I need to see the generics in action before I believe in them. 1 Punning Pundit reacted to this
Rakky Wistol 2,903 Posted December 13, 2016 Two is pretty much my limit... I could be talked into 3 maybe. Duchess + title + LightF Countdown + Hull upgrade Pure + LightF + swarm leader x2AP I'm not sold on Pure Sabbac at 27pts as Biggs. Those first two with 51pts left (or 54 if you drop Hull) I think is my new imperial starting point for awhile.
Dwing 1,977 Posted December 13, 2016 (edited) I have preordered two, but will probably drop it down to one... Main reason for buying two right now, is shelf symmetry. Edited December 13, 2016 by Dwing

I think Countdown wants hull for that extra set of shots they are going to have to waste on him, if my green dice weren't such fickle beasts... LwF might be a cheaper option, if he takes no damage in the first place.. he stays up longer. But the way my greens roll, even just playing my kids, I'm better off with Epic ships (or a VCX) since it saves me rolling any..... 1 Dwing reacted to this
Rakky Wistol 2,903 Posted December 13, 2016 If you happen to have 3pts to spare I think it's the right call if Countdown is in your list. If you only have 2pts then LightF is ok too and I'd bet both mean he takes about 5 shots to kill so...Again, I can't wait to see what MJ says about some of these new cards, combos, and abilities. Torg 104 Posted December 13, 2016 I have preordered 2 TIe strikers and might get a 3rd later on, I have a plan for both of them but it might not work but Lightweight Frame is going to be useful for TIE/SF and TIE Bombers builds next year
InterceptorMad 1,920 Posted December 13, 2016 I have 5 on the way, so I'm defo going to run a combo of 5 of them now and again.

I appreciate your vote of confidence but I should maybe take it with a grain of salt considering you own 6 rebel Zs and 6 interceptors 3 CommanderDave, SEApocalypse and benskywalker reacted to this
InterceptorMad 1,920 Posted December 13, 2016 Haha the 6 Rebel Zs was excitement. The Interceptors was 2 regular when they came out, then 2 Ace packs when they came out mainly for cards. 1 benskywalker reacted to this

Two reds means you pretty much have to have at least two shots on target for the chance to get any damage through. With only two reds, you're pretty much always better just going TIE fighters. Just might be hard to get several ships in arc of the same ship due to the low ps
SEApocalypse 4,439 Posted December 13, 2016 The TIE-Striker … now even the imperials have X-Wings, but they can bring 5 instead of 4 and it makes all the difference? ;-) 1 TBot reacted to this

Dwing 1,977 Posted December 13, 2016 I look forward to see how much that "pre boost" is a good or bad thing in the long run. Its the most interresting piece of design in this wave for me. 1 TBot reacted to this
