DarwinsDog 150 Posted December 2, 2016 We just finished our Kindred Fire campaign. Several times we got the event where the bearer of Mana Weave has to roll willpower. The character passed every time, and now I really want to know what happens if the hero fails. Has anyone seen the fail response? Side note: I loved the events that seemed like nothing at the time, but then came back later to have some effect.
DerDelphi 265 Posted December 3, 2016 (edited) If you fail the test, the mana weave is destroyed and you lose it. But this test only happens, if you got the mana weave from the fortune teller event. If you buy it for the full price in town the test won´t happen. Edited December 3, 2016 by DerDelphi 1 DarwinsDog reacted to this

DarwinsDog 150 Posted December 5, 2016 I don't know why, but I'm a little disappointed by that. I guess I played it up in my mind too much that I wanted it to be like a dark charm or something. Oh well, now I'm even more happy to have passed every test with it, since that extra surge came in extremely handy once I got my grinding axe.
DerDelphi 265 Posted December 6, 2016 (edited) however, if you sell the mana weave you get from the fortune teller, and buy it at a later date, the event could still occur. In fact, it will even happen if you are in posession of the Mana weave and then encounter the event (even with a different flavor text). The old fortune teller seems to like her monopoly on her collection of Mana weaves Edited December 6, 2016 by DerDelphi

I think the mana weave explodes, dealing some damage to the holder.. if that makes you feel better...
