Sybreed 1,110 Posted December 1, 2016 (edited) Hey guys, I was looking for an MC80 list that does well in the actual meta, mainly for the reason that it's the only expansion I haven't tried yet and I like the look of the ship a lot. I know it's bit riskier to use in wave 3/4, but I was wondering if a hybrid of carrier/survivable ship with advanced projector would work? If anyone has a list to share, please do it here! edit: I would normally work on a list and post it here, but I'm at work and can't really look at armada warlords... I can sneak in a post here and there though. edit # 2: This is about lists that contains the Non-Liberty MC80. I can sneak in a post here and there though. Are you talking of the generic MC80C/MC80A class as opposed to the liberty type, or do you mean the Home One ship title specifically? If it is just the MC80C/A you wish to include then the MC80C makes a good carrier with Boosted Comms, ECM and Fighter Coordination teams. For a combat role the MC80A is ok but in my view a bit too expensive for just swapping some red for blues and being less of a carrier. The two defensive slots can really take the edge off a large incoming volley but waves of bombers or small ship volleys don't care as much. Defiance is great and cheap on either. Independence is ok for carrier builds but I now use FCTs instead to save points. If it is Home One title then you are probably looking at adding more ship based large volleys to the list such as AFIIBs or MC30s which make good flotilla hunters. In your example list you only benefit twice from Home one as it doesn't effect the MC80 itself. For this reason you are either getting the benefit 4 times but on small ships or 2-3 times but must remember to include a decent squadron force. Flotillas don't really benefit at all so they are Home-One dead weight. Ackbar can make the volleys of your other ships into a decent punch and so get to use the accuracies more. I really meant the non-liberty MC80. Good arguments... I fitted Home One in there because of the flotillas, but it might not be necessary if I use torpedo frigates instead. At some point, once you've got the basics of a list covered, it isn't merely about your list but how you fly it. For MC80A, Corvettes are very cheap supporting units, and you want six squadrons that look at anti-squadron first (A-wings, YT2400s, X-wings). The MC80A can be one of the absolute toughest ships in the game to take down, especially if built well to tank. At some point, once you've got the basics of a list covered, it isn't merely about your list but how you fly it. For MC80A, Corvettes are very cheap supporting units, and you want six squadrons that look at anti-squadron first (A-wings, YT2400s, X-wings). The MC80A can be one of the absolute toughest ships in the game to take down, especially if built well to tank. Raymus+Engineering commands+Redundant Shields will regenerate an entire shield facing I'm thinking running the MC80 with the FCT and Flight commander, and Yavaris with boosted comm just to make sure it can double tap the B-Wings that moved further edit: crap, Yavaris can't take boosted comms. MC80/Home One/Rieekan 3xTR90 Tycho/Dash/Wedge/Awing Home One is amazing for flotilla busting and durable enough to not go down with sustained focus fire.
