Drasnighta 26,573 Posted November 23, 2016 (edited) It doesn't really... In what way? I mean... You have an Engineering Dial. You Reveal an Engineering Dial. Normally, you would have to expend the Dial to Generate a Token.Raymus Allows you to Generate a Token and keep the Dial. Now you have a Dial and a Token. You can only perform a Certain Command (in this case, Engineering), once per turn, which means you have the Option:IF I SPEND MY COMMAND DIAL - I Generate 2 Engineering Points (as a Flotilla has 2)... I can use those as normal, or use Repair Crews.IF I SPEND MY COMMAND TOKEN - I Generate 1 Engineering Point (as a Flotilla has 2, which is halved for a Token)... I can use those as normal, or use Repair Crews.IF I SPEND MY COMMAND TOKEN AND DIAL - I Generate 3 Engineering Points (as a Flotilla has 2, added with a Token for 1)... I CAN USE THESE AS NORMAL, OR USE REPAIR CREWS... The amount of Points generated is completely irrelevant when you use Repair Crews. The only way you could do it, is if you could do the same command Twice in one turn. Which you cannot, and are expressly forbidden from doing so in the Rules.... One Day, We may get an officer who allows you to do it twice... But Raymus Antilles is not that Officer. Mad Cat 2,113 Posted November 23, 2016 You could of course spend the dial to generate 2 points and use repair crews on a nearby ship and also bank the token that Raymus gives. Next turn you could then Navigate or squadron and spend the repair token from last turn to repair another hull on a friendly ship. I think veteran captain might be a better cheaper alternative in this situation. 1 Parkdaddy reacted to this
Green Knight 8,822 Posted November 23, 2016 Idea: put Raymus on Tantive IV, have it spam those eng tokens over to 2 Flotillas w/Rep Crews. Now those flotillas can both repair and command squads. Or concentrate fire. Yeah, totally CF (didn't say it was a GOOD idea) 1 DiabloAzul reacted to this
