SkyWarp 82 Posted November 16, 2016 So question on order of operations. A ship with Kanaan crew passes over a debris cloud while performing a white move do you end up with a stress or not? I know with triggers that happen at the same time you can choose which order you trigger them. So basically does Kannan Trigger as soon as you place the ship down or at the check pilot stress step? thespaceinvader 17,538 Posted November 16, 2016 (edited) Kanan triggers after the manoeuvre is complete, which is after the check pilot stress step.Kanan can clear the stress from Debris, which then allows you to take an action if you weren't stressed to start off with. Zefirus 435 Posted November 16, 2016 Debris deliberately places the stress after the "Check Pilot Stress" step. This is part of the maneuver, and you still have one step left, "Clean Up". Since Kanan triggers after maneuvers, Kanan will ALWAYS trigger after receiving the stress from debris. If for some strange reason you wanted to Kanan a stress away before you receive a debris cloud stress, you wouldn't be able to.
BlodVargarna 4,041 Posted November 16, 2016 So if I understand correctly, if my ship flies through a debris field with a white maneuver and I have Kanan on that ship or nearby, his ability will function to remove the stress that would ordinarily have been gained by the debris field? Vineheart01 6,403 Posted November 16, 2016 FAQ directly says kanan work on debris. Didnt stop a lot of people questioning me last saturday though when i did it on Chewie with Kyle/Kanan to actually BENEFIT from hitting debris lol 5 DR4CO, Vitalis, BlodVargarna and 2 others reacted to this

They never expect that!
Daniel Beaver 165 Posted November 28, 2016 (edited) Always nice to blaze through debris, and then focus or boost. They never expect that! Especially if your opponent has the mistaken impression that all obstacles cause you to skip your action step (only Asteroids do that). Yea i had that fight with people too when i took Whisper, Yorr and bunch of debris to one tournament.
The Penguin UK 1,258 Posted November 29, 2016 Remember though that Kanan only works on whites. A few times I've done green moves onto a debris field, expecting to lose my stress but you don't! 1 StriderZessei reacted to this
Vineheart01 6,403 Posted November 29, 2016 Also dont hit multiple debris: apparently in TFA rulebook they changed that to be affected by every obstacle you hit not just one. Surprised i played that long without knowing that until i flew chewie over a chute and a debris. One stress became a focus due to kanan/kyle, second stress went through. Which denied my TL and boned me because i needed that lol (trickshot obstructed range1 = 5die chewie lol) Also you still suffer potential damage, you just dont get the stress.
